Highly recommend this Korean restaurant. Everything here is very tasty. They serve authentic korean food and their side dishes are all delicious. I love also the atmosphere and the staff. Prince was our server and he was amazing. This place is excellent in every way. If you're looking for something to try korean food, a date night, or family cozy dinner, this is the best place for you. We enjoyed coming here. Thank you Korean Chef!!!
The first thing that grabbed me was the atmosphere. Warm lighting relaxed music and these really cool art pieces on the walls done by the owners brother. It has this personal cozy feel that makes you want to sit down and take your time instead of rushing through a meal. It feels like a spot that actually cares about its space and its guests. We started with the Rabokki in a sweet soy sauce and it was fantastic. The sauce had that deep savory sweetness and the rice cakes had the perfect chewy bite. It was one of those dishes where you look down and suddenly realize you have eaten way more than you planned because it is that good. Then came the Korean fried popcorn chicken in a sweet chili sauce. Crispy on the outside tender inside and the sauce had just the right mix of sweet with a little heat. Just a solid dish all around and really satisfying. The bibimbop and galbi combo ended up being the highlight. The meat had this amazing glaze that gave every bite a rich slightly sweet flavor and the beef was tender and juicy. The rice was spot on with a perfect texture that tied everything together. The side dishes added so much extra flavor and variety. Each one brought something new to the plate and made the whole meal feel layered and exciting instead of just one note. The staff was incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming which made the whole experience even better. For dessert we tried the bungeo ppang. Crispy super hot right out of the kitchen and filled with a custard that was smooth and not overly sweet. Paired with a Korean coffee it was the perfect finish. It is honestly awesome having a Korean spot this good in Kendall. Fresh food great flavors a warm atmosphere and a place that feels like it has real heart. Six out of five stars. I cannot wait to go back.
We walked in on Christmas Eve, and understandably had to wait a while to be seated and get service. Everyone were incredibly nice and politely communicated the delayed times. We ordered the korean mandu, japchae, kimchi, cauliflower bibimbop with the mild chicken, meat lover's rice plate with the mild chicken, bubgeo-ppang, tropical fruit juice, and ginger tea, and got to taste the korean coffee. The food was great, and we especially appreciated the mild chicken. The ambience was also wondeful, with beautiful paintings and quiet music. The atmosphere was relaxed even with full capacity. We feel very lucky that we stumbled upon this place, and hope to get back and try more dishes.
I went today for lunch with my coworkers. I had the lunch special with beef and spicy chicken. It was a a good amount of meat! Everything was delicious! The service was amazing and the owner was so kind and welcoming. The coffee was also soo delicious, you must try it! I highly recommend you check this place out if you crave high quality delicious Korean food and top notch service !
If you haven’t been to The Korean Chef yet, you really are missing out. The dining area is clean and upscale, with paintings from South Korea which adds to the calm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous and even the chef came out to say hi and check in on every table!! Which is a rarity in Miami to be 100% with you, Google reader. Anyway onto the food! We had mandu to start with the right level of crisp and filling. It was yummy, But it DOESNT STOP THERE! Onto the main, the pork belly ssam. The portion is HUGE and the banchan is plenty, definitely enough for 2 people to share or I guess if you really are super hungry then go for it 🤪 the price for this dish is adequate for how much food is given. The pork belly was tender and savory so so good!!!! The combination of the kimchi, ssamjang and pork belly is the BEST. Biting into it, it reminded me when my boyfriend and I went to Busan and ate it there. A small bit of South Korea in Kendall is such a good treat. Once we were done eating, the waiter asked if we wanted a complimentary coffee which was a nice treat to have in the end. Similar to like cortadito size it was perfect after feeling so full 🙂 I can’t wait to return soon and explore what else is on the menu. 셰프님, 계속해서 좋은 모습 보여주세요!
Sooooooooo good! We love this place! First you walk in and it’s nice, then the servers Jeff was very helpful, lastly the food was to die for! We ordered Udon-Bokki incredible!!! We ordered the Emperor feast and it was a feast indeed, DELICIOUS!!! Enough food for at least 5-6 people, good amount of rice too most Korean restaurants skimp on the rice. My favorite short rib and beef bulgobi soooooo good!!! We are making this our favorite restaurant!!!
The food is delicious and everyone was very friendly. My issue was with the servcie being a bit slow even tho they werent busy but i understand since the food was all fresh.
