My husband and I love this restaurant so much. We drive from Santa Monica after traffic on weeknights or on weekends when there’s no traffic. It’s super family friendly we bring our toddler and she loves the soups, bulgogi, and of course rice. Great bulgogi, great ban chan. I even ordered the beef broth noodle soup to Cedars Sinai after I gave birth to our baby. Definitely worth trying if you like Korean food! Cucumber kimchi
The atmosphere is lively and modern perfect for a group gathering. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive; our server expertly managed the big hot pot and kept our table running smoothly. The Gamjatang (Pork Bone Stew) was rich, deeply savory, and perfectly spiced. Packed with tender pork bone meat and vegetables, this huge portion is excellent for sharing, the Haemul Pajeon was huge, golden-brown, and perfectly crispy. Loaded with scallions and seafood, it was one of the best I've had—savory and not oily and the Naengmyeon was incredibly refreshing. The icy broth and chewy noodles provided a great contrast to the hot stew.
I've been looking for a place that sells Gochujang soup and I finally found it. Delicious flavors and big portions also. Their side dishes are also tasty. Parking is Valet or self parking. Great prices for the quantity and quality of food. I ordered the Gochujang soup, veggie dumplings, spicy pork bulgagi and a steamed rice.
One word… MUCHO MASHISOYO 🤤 - ok that’s two words and part time Spanglish and Korean but still it was delicious and that’s all that matters my friend. Go ahead and try it..you know you wanna 🤭 First time visiting and will definitely be back! I had the rice cake soup and seafood pancake. Broth was light and flavorful and seafood pancake was rich with seafoods and vegetables.
It was okay..? The beef soft tofu stew had mushrooms in it which wasn’t something I’m used to so just note that before ordering and the broth was extremely salty. The beef and tofu did not taste the best either. Definitely prefer Surawon or BCD. It’s cheaper to get just get BCD delivered home. Wanted to try something new :/ Don’t think I’ll come back. The service wasn’t the best either.
YeoGiYo is a small, casual Korean spot in the heart of K-Town, sharing its corner with about 5 other similar-sized local spots. The restaurant has around 8 tables and ~26 seats, creating a cozy, no-frills atmosphere. There’s a parking lot out front that seems to operate with valet service, though it doesn’t appear directly tied to the restaurant. We came by public transport, and it was easy to reach. We chose YeoGiYo based on strong reviews. We ordered the Bibimbap Vege Stone Pot (B04)—a standout dish I’d recommend even to meat eaters. It’s built on a base of white rice that crisps up nicely at the bottom over time bc of the heat of the hot pot, topped with fresh vegetables and a flavorful sauce on the side. Overall a great dish. One small point to note: it’s labeled as vegan, but it clearly comes with an egg on top, so it should be considered vegetarian instead. Also we had S05 Pork Tuna Kimchi Stew, which had a solid, hearty flavor. That said, it’s very tuna-forward which tastes quite similar to canned tuna when cooked, something to be aware of depending on your preference. All main dishes come with traditional Korean side dishes at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. The service was friendly, and the food arrived without a long wait. Another small plus: they serve filtered water, which I personally value. Overall, price-to-quality ratio is really good. I’d definitely return for the authentic flavors and satisfying portions; though next time, we would opt for a different dish instead of S05.
This was my first visit here. The environment is very nice and clean. The small plates are exquisite, and pumpkin porridge is served before the meal. The kimchi pancakes were slightly lighter than ones I’ve had before, which made them healthier to eat, and the sauce on the side helped balance the flavors. Chicken soup #4 was delicious, consisting entirely of chicken thighs. The chicken was fresh and very tasty. I will definitely come back to try different dishes.
