Grand Central Market

I visited Grand Central Market in Downtown LA — a huge food market with tons of cafes and vendors 📍🍴. There’s a great variety of food options and literally something for every family member to choose from, which I really liked 👍. But honestly… it was too crowded and noisy — it felt like everyone decided to come on a weekend 😅. The lines were long and the atmosphere wasn’t as enjoyable because of the mess and the crowd. I enjoyed the food itself, but the vibe wasn’t my style, and I wouldn’t come back again 🙃. Too much hustle and bustle for me!

Absolutely loved the experience. Love the many different cultures of food and there was nothing that wasn't excellent. The dumplings were phenomenal. The service was excellent and the people were very friendly, both from the service side and even a customers were all very polite and courteous. The atmosphere is just phenomenal. We will be back.

The energy is incredible, with an amazing mix of cultures, flavors, and longtime vendors all under one roof. There’s something for everyone, from classic comfort food to international favorites, and it’s perfect whether you want a quick bite or to wander and sample a few different spots. The atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming, and the historic setting adds real character. If you want to experience LA in one stop, this is it. A must-visit every time you’re downtown.

You can enjoy a generous amount of food at a reasonable price here. During weekday mornings, the atmosphere is particularly relaxed and comfortable. They primarily serve dishes like tacos and wraps, and you can even buy fresh fruit at very affordable prices—for example, a bunch of bananas is just $0.89! It's a great spot for both a meal and some quick grocery shopping.

Grand Central Market was a great stop. There are tons of food options, and it was easy to find both coffee and a breakfast burrito in one place. Getting there around 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday made a big difference — street parking was easy to find and the walk in was short. Lively atmosphere without feeling overcrowded. Would definitely come back.

First-time visit after over 20 years living here! Despite living in LA for more than 20 years, it was my first time visiting Grand Central Market downtown with my kids. We usually stick to Koreatown, so we don't often venture downtown. This time, we stayed at a hotel nearby, and my daughters (one graduate, one senior—they highly recommended it!) brought us here. The atmosphere was truly "American," and the food was fantastic. I especially prefer thin-crust pizza, and this place was perfect! It was crispy, and the cheese was outstanding. We rushed to order right before closing, and I want to sincerely thank the staff—both those who kindly handled our hurried order and the one who baked our last pizza of the night. Their excellent customer service, even at closing time, was truly appreciated. I definitely want to come back during the day. If you want to know LA, I highly recommend Grand Central Market!

Before coming to LA, we looked up food places to visit in LA on YouTube. Grand Central Market was one to keep popping up. We decided to try some of shops that were open. We got there kinda late, so a few were closed already. We tried Broad Street Oyster Company which was really good. We also tried the taco stand.Tacos Tumbras a Tomas, Which was excellent and the amount of food they put on our plate for the price. It makes you want to show Chipotle how food portions should be served correctly 😋. Our last restaurant was. Sticky Rice, & it was good as well. I truly think you gotta pass a good food test before putting a restaurant in here. Everything was good.
