Daon Korean Restaurant really shines when it comes to their standout specialty dishes. The Half Ribs are an absolute must-try. Perfectly cooked until tender and juicy, the meat falls right off the bone. The glaze has a rich, slightly sweet and savory depth with a subtle smokiness that makes every bite incredibly satisfying. It’s flavorful without being overwhelming — just perfectly balanced and memorable. The Steak Diane Pasta is another highlight that truly sets Daon apart. The steak is cooked beautifully — tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor — paired with a creamy, savory Diane sauce that coats the pasta perfectly. It’s indulgent yet refined, combining comfort and sophistication in one dish. For those who love a bit of heat, the Spicy Seafood Arrabbiata is outstanding. The pasta is cooked al dente and tossed in a bold, spicy tomato sauce packed with fresh seafood. The spice level adds a nice kick without overpowering the natural sweetness of the seafood, creating a dish that’s vibrant, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Daon’s ability to blend Korean influence with Italian-inspired dishes makes their menu unique and exciting. Every plate feels thoughtfully crafted, offering something you won’t find just anywhere.
Absolutely loved my experience at Daon last night! Every single dish was outstanding. The squid and pork were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the Diane steak pasta was simply amazing — rich, comforting, and full of bold flavor. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail in every plate. Everything exceeded my expectations and made the evening truly memorable. I can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly recommended!
I was intrigued with Korean fusion but being apostle lover I thought I’d give it a try. My son got steak Diane pasta but I got the spicy pork rigatoni. Both of my dishes did not disappoint. Service was great atmosphere was nice as well. Pricewise I feel like it’s a bit high for pasta. However, the portions were decent and the flavors were there. We will be back.
Great place! I’m glad that we’ve stumbled upon it. I was hesitant to come in because I saw the prices online. But definitely worth it. I like that their menu is small, that means they’ve perfected the recipe and just focus on those items. So if you want a lot of different food, it’s not the place. We’ve ordered: Katsu Balls : 10/10 Fried just right and the batter is flavorful Spicy Brisket soup : 9/10 I normally don’t like red soups because tbh it all taste the same, just pepper; but this one was really good! The broth was flavorful and hearty. They put lots of veggies and the meat was good, although some of it were a bit dry. Bulgogi plate : 9/10 , we had some good cuts. I like that some of it were fatty. I usually have dry bulgogi but this one had sauce. Midnight cocktail : I’m glad they had a lot of different mocktail options cause I am tired of just cocktails. This drink was good but a little too syrupy for me. Great flavor though Service : Jay was so nice and friendly. He was quick as well. Food came out really fast, like 10 mins max after we’ve ordered it.
This restaurant and its owner are a breath of fresh air in the Houston food scene. I’d only ever been to Korean barbecue spots before, but this was my first time truly enjoying authentic Korean food—along with vibrant, flavorful, and inventive Italian-Korean fusion. DAO’N is a gem. The food is incredibly delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. The dishes I’ve had are ones I can’t stop thinking about. You have to try the carbonara—it’s to die for. I also love the seafood pancake. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
I highly recommend this spot if you're tired of all the random KBBQ restaurants popping up, and wanting a delicious refresh on some Korean classics. Aside from the food being awesome, the staff are, by far, the highlight of this restaurant! The people made my experience 10 times better than it already was. They are extremely friendly and warm, passionate, and attentive to all their guests! Also, I'd recommend getting a reservation. It just made the whole process smoother. Definitely will go back and try more of their food!
Ate at DAO'N the other day and enjoyed the meal overall. We had the seafood pancakes, chicken dak katsu ball, steak Diane pasta, and the spare ribs Galbi The chicken dak katsu ball needs a bit more flavor imo, and I wish the size was a bit more bite sized. The pancake and spare rib were really good. My main complaint is the steak pasta. The steak was really well cooked and the pasta sauce was delicious. But the amount of pasta they give is very very little. We shared these 4 dishes with 4 ppl and when it came to the pasta dish we each had maybe one bite of pasta itself. They should just increase the amount of pasta in the dish and it would be perfect, pasta is cheap after all. I also think their cocktails are very good I had the Seoul drink and the pear one both really good
