Firkin Tavern

High quality bar food. Firkin Tavern is better than Disney world, I’m not joking. The chicken pretzel sammich is top tier. Have to get one every time because I love it so deeply (even though literally every single item on the menu is phenomenal). Honorable mention to firkin mac and cheese which definitely deserves a special shoutout of her own. Great draft menu as well

My wife tried the Thai boneless wings and the Mahi Mahi tacos. She absolutely loved the wing sauce and said the tacos were filled with perfectly cooked fish. The service was outstanding. We will definitely return.

I was told this could very well be the best Burger in NJ, so you know I had to pop in and find out. Oh, you’re curious what I thought? Why not just watch the video (on all major apps) 😊 Seriously though, really good quality beef, awesome bacon, onions were cooked well, temp on the burger was correct. If there are some "negatives", they’re in the video. The service was good, outdoor seating was nice, and there was a parking lot so no fighting over spots and needing meter money. I can confidently say Firkin Tavern - Didn’t Suck!

Terrific lunch at Firkin's. I was craving short ribs and they did not disappoint. Short ribs French dip was absolutely delicious. The meat was plentiful and so tender. It definitely satisfied my craving. I hope they add short rib grilled cheese to the menu! My husband had the Thai boneless wings and Mahi Mahi tacos. Big bang for your buck here! A lot of food for the right price your money is gonna get you a hefty portion. Really great service that is happy to help and make any adjustments. You need to your meal. Was even able to customize my burger for maximum spice! This friendly environment is met with a good selection of beers and whiskeys. With games on in the background you’re sure to keep up on your scores. Don’t forget to wear your favorite team’s jersey. If you come here with a group of friends you’re gonna have a great time. If you come here solo you’re gonna leave with a doggy bag full of food to eat on the way home or when you get home.

The service here is a extremely poor I came two days in a row sat at the bar and was blatantly ignore for the entire 1hour. I had do chases he bar tender around the bar just to get her my check . I am pretty sure this is due to the color of my skin . I urge people of color to steer clear of. I was served by employee 316. 10/20/2025 this is an update to my original review I tried the place again an I must say CHRIS is amazing an changed my whole outlook ( there’s is a female who is also amazing just can’t remember her name ) he was kind funny and responsive ! This is a favorite of the local college students and I can see why. The atmosphere is very laid-back, the bar is of a pretty good size, and there is the game room if you wanted a little more entertainment. The food was a lot better than I expected. I believe I got the house Burger which was a build-your-own burger. It had to be one of the best burgers I have ever had. The prices were pretty on par with every other bar/restaurant so I wasn't too surprised by the bill. I went with my family but I would definitely go here again with friends.
