Customer Reviews
Ichiban has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 based on over 424 reviews on Google
Not sure why the rating is so low. The food and service was excellent and the pricing fair. The server, I think her name was Haba, was really friendly. The restaurant were full on a Monday at 5:30, pretty indicative. My only real qualm was some of the food items were a tad on the cold side upon arrival.
I had itchiban delivered today, got to say I’ve never been here and probably would never order the pad Thai again. It was very taste less. If it hadn’t been for the chili paste it would’ve tasted like plain noodles. Now the Philly eggroll was delicious and had tons of flavor, specially with that dipping sauce. Also make sure to ask for silverware if you don’t have any because they didn’t put it in the bag when it was delivered. Good thing I was in a hotel and they had something or I would’ve been eating with my fingers.
I love the atmosphere when you walk in. The cute doors open a world of creativity, and smells of the delicious food you are about to eat. They have great vegetarian options, as well as chicken, beef, and fish. There are plenty of drinks to choose from while sitting in your booth. They have soups, and appetizers to start out, and to go boxes in case you want to save some for later. They also have soy paper in case you don't want to use seaweed in your sushi. I get the veggie sushi with soy paper( for an extra 1) and my kids, and I love it. Great place definately check it out!
Highly recommend! Everything was quick, fresh, and delicious. We got the all you can eat, which is made to order and NOT a buffet. They hand you a special menu for all you can eat, and you mark down how many you want of whatever items. Order your entire order up front! We were served soup, then salad, then fried apps, then sushi. We were there pretty early (4 pm) on a Saturday but were served each course very fast. We also got cocktails which were delicious! If you over order and waste food, they will charge you. We got more than our monies worth for $25/person and ate every bite! We cannot wait to go back.
Awful experience, let me start by saying we have been here in the past and it is usually decent but the lady at the front with the short hair was not only rude to us but rude to the server. We came at 2:40 and she said dinner prices even though the website says 3:30 which we have gotten in the past we said okay whatever but then we waited almost an hour and a half for our food and when we mentioned that it took extra long she said too bad then brought the bill with a 18% gratuity charge forced on us it was almost 70$ for 2 people even though the front says only for parties of 5 or more. We each had a roll of sushi and an appetizer.. will never be back learn how to treat customers!
A fantastic experience with great service, friendly people along with decent food. The sushi all you can eat was delicious. The honey roll and dynamite roll were fantastic. However I would avoid the sexy lady roll, it was bland and uneventful compared to the other sushi options. More of a date night atmosphere but children are welcome.
The food here is great. One of the best chinese and japanese in all of Erie. The restaurant is clean. My only complaint is the the service staff has added more tip than what is written on the bill. This has now happened twice. I always tip and usually over 15%, so to add more tip is egregious. This is unethical and I will not be dining in house as a result.
