I ordered the regular classic Korean ramen. What I received was essentially noodles in hot, unseasoned water. The broth—which is the soul of the dish—was completely transparent and flavorless. It felt less like a meal and more like a bowl of plain pasta water. Really disappointing for anyone looking for an authentic taste

Important note: This review is regarding the Sang Tofu & K BBQ location inside the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ. I am posting under the Edison, NJ location because the American Dream Mall location does not appear to have its own review listing, and this is the same restaurant brand and corporate operation. Yesterday at the American Dream Mall location, I ordered two mixed seafood ramen noodle soups, one medium spicy and one three-quarter spicy, along with five shrimp fried soup. The total bill was $68, and although it was a takeaway order, I still left a $2 tip. I clearly instructed the cashier, Ricardo, that one ramen should be three-quarter spicy, meaning about 75 percent of their heat level, not extreme. When the food came out, the three-quarter spicy ramen was unbelievably hot, far beyond any reasonable spice level. It tasted as if an excessive amount of habanero or similar hot pepper had been added. After one bite, it caused irritation in my inner ear, and I was unable to continue eating it. To make sure it wasn’t just my tolerance, I asked my brother to taste it, and he confirmed it was extremely spicy and not edible. I calmly returned to the counter and asked if it could be replaced with a medium spicy version. This request was initially refused, and I was told, "You asked for hot." During the conversation, the cashier told me to "stay on the side" in a rude manner, in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and unprofessional. After about 10 minutes of discussion and speaking with management, they eventually issued a full refund. I appreciate that the refund was provided, however by that point, the situation had already escalated unnecessarily, and I was unable to eat or enjoy my meal. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. While the refund was the right outcome, the lack of professionalism, poor handling of a simple spice-level mistake, and the way I was spoken to left a bad impression. I hope management addresses customer service training and quality control so future customers do not go through a similar situation.

Worst place ever. There’s beef on the photo menu so I ordered and they came out to be no beef. I asked the staff and she said photo is always only 90% true 🤷🏻‍♀️ so like why lie?

This Korean restaurant is so over the price. I ordered #14 spicy beef brisket Raman: just instant noodles with beef cost $19. And #6 beef bibimbap everything is cold even the rice cost $18. Don’t ask me how it taste, if you don’t believe me welcome to try it.

The spicy beef stew came in chunks rather than strings of beef and was very bland. Both the broth and beef had no flavor but the chili oil. The tofu stew with beef wasn’t as bad though.

Worst Bibimbap! Everything cold except rice. All the dishes are side dishes from the fridge directly. One side dish even has weird smell , suspiciously already gone bad. I wish I checked the google rating before buying. 😰

Nice place for Korean food. We had the bibimbap and bulgogi it was ok and served very hot. We did not have any negative experiences like I see on here. The place is a bit pricey though. The servers were nice and order came out within 10 minutes.
