92 Korean Chicken

I stopped by here to try something new instead of my usual bb.q or bonchon and I highly regretted it. I placed an order for 2 whole chickens and I was told it would be ready in 5 minutes. That should have been my red flag. Because korean fried chicken is normally ready in about 20min. Drove 45min home. This chicken has thick SALTY breading. Unfortunately that's all I tasted. The sweet and spicy sauce was neither sweet nor spicy. Very little garlic, and flavor. Just saltiness. The bright color seems like artificial color or something not the natural beautiful red color from Korean peppers. To add insult to injury this lady tells me she has kimchi and proceeds to sell me this red coleslaw as kimchi. I was disappointed all through and through with this visit. Maybe this was a bad batch or something because i cannot understand all these high reviews, but I will DEFINITELY never be back to this place.

I got 10 original Korean fried wings and 10 garlic spicy wings. The place was clean, quiet and very nice. The food was melting the foam trays hot! I like my chicken wings fried HARD and the original was crispy and very flavorful. But I will be honest I'm black and grow up on soul food and those wings taste like my childhood so the Koreans fry it like African American mother's. That's definitely a compliment! The spicy garlic was wonderful, they taste like General Tos chicken so definitely 🔥. The prices were a bit out of my everyday budget($33), so for me this will be a once a month affair for me but definitely great food.

This is hands down my favorite Korean chicken place in Durham. They have so many sauces to choose from. Their portions are big! You won’t leave there hungry! I LOVE their kimchi!!! Soooo good! The owner is always so nice to us! If you haven’t been yet, you’ve got to give them a try!

Went there a few weeks ago to get kimchi, because it’s so good, and the lady at the front said " Next time, I will tell you that you can’t get just kimchi. You have to get chicken too." I was confused because 1) This was my first time ONLY ordering kimchi. I have gotten chicken the other few times I’ve been. 2) Why have kimchi as an item on the menu, if we can’t buy it by itself? 3) That’s not stated anywhere in the business or online. I am wondering if I am the only person this has happened too. I really enjoy the food but didn’t like how that interaction went.

Great value for what you get. I was absolutely stuffed after eating the 10 wings with the complimentary kimchi. Both delicious and with a beer was about $25 after tax. Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired but I am willing to endure for quality food at this level.

Excellent fried chicken in casual atmosphere. Chicken came with pickled radish and kimchi, perfect to balance the spice. Dumplings were excellent. Paired very well with peach soju! Highly recommend.

Their chicken was very crispy and they had so many different sauces. The new honey garlic was, chefs kiss! The staff member was super nice and friendly! Can't wait to go back and try the rest of menu!
