Jagalchi

This was my second visit in a couple of months. Although the store isn't very close to my place, it's easily accessible. The parking area was nearly full when I arrived, and there were numerous stop signs along the way. Upon arrival, the store was quite busy, but things moved swiftly at the meat section. Browsing through the aisles and sampling some free food was a pleasant experience. My initial plan was to buy frozen fish cakes, but I ended up with a shopping cart half full. I appreciate the organized layout of the sections. The fresh food section is particularly delightful, and the prices are reasonable. There are a couple of pop-up stores, which add a nice touch. The restaurant inside the grocery store also looks appealing. Thecfresh meat section and frozen food area were neat. One part may be nice to have is live seafood or may be more fish options. Overall, I enjoy shopping at this store compared to some other Korean grocery stores with narrow aisles.

One of the most convenient stores for purchasing Korean goods located in our vicinity. This eliminates the need for extensive travel, such as to Santa Clara, to obtain Korean food or merchandise. The store itself is immaculately maintained and can experience high foot traffic during peak hours. However, the parking situation can be challenging. Despite this minor inconvenience, I highly recommend this establishment.

I finally made it out to this amazingly large asian grocery store! I wonder what took me so long. They have all kinds of various Korean grocery items. I very much attach pictures that give you an idea of how many items they have here. Anything from premade sushi's to korean barbecue prepped meats. Their butcher shop section was amazing, even has japanese waygu available as well. They have small eateries off the side of the grocery store including a bakery. We also ate at the fancy restaurant in the center of the grocery store. The food was amazing! Overall, I will come here pretty often for a variety of snacks and some groceries. I find the items in here are much more competitive than the other surrounding Asian grocery stores.

First time here and I was impressed at how clean and organized this place was. The produce looked fresh, and the quality of the meat looked great with all the marbling. Great selection of drinks and snacks as well. Like most Korean markets, this place also had cooked and prepared food as well. The sushi looked fresh.

Referred by a friend this Jagalchi store in Daly City is a strong mix of authenticity and fusion. The floor plan nicely reflects a true Korean-style market approach, with a clean layout that blends groceries, specialty imports, and a surprisingly high-end restaurant set right in the center of the store. Meat selection is excellent - fresh, well-cut, and consistent. Dairy options are solid in both: rich in quality and variety. The one area that needs improvement is the pre-packed banchan. Freshness can be hit-or-miss, and the flavor doesn’t always match the rest of the store’s high standards. Still, overall it’s a well-executed concept and an enjoyable place to shop and dine.

The store is large and clean, but the variety of goods is very limited, and many areas are filled with the same items. In particular, there is no food court where you can eat on-site; only take-out food is sold inside the market. The restaurant also sells an $85 menu on weekends, but the taste isn't great, and I wouldn't recommend it. At its current level, it doesn't seem competitive with Hmart. To become competitive, it needs to diversify its market offerings and install a proper food court with seating instead of the current restaurant.

Jagalchi: A Must-Visit in San Francisco Whenever my parents come to visit me in San Francisco, we always make our way to Jagalchi and spend a few hours there. It’s such a unique Korean supermarket, and we absolutely love it. My mom is from Guam and she especially loves their pork buns, kimchi, and all the fun chip varieties. The store has so much to offer: pre-made fresh foods, beautiful fruits, an in-house bakery, fancy fruit-shaped ice creams, and a spotless fresh fish counter that’s never smelly and always stocked with the freshest-looking seafood. They also stand out for their unique drinks with really high-quality ingredients, a wide variety of delicious adult beverages, ramen galore, and even an oyster bar. Everything is neat, tidy, and very clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes shopping here a joy. It’s hard to pick favorites because everything we’ve tried has been delicious, but their wide assortment of fresh kimchi and sushi really shine. We always leave with something new to try, and that’s part of the fun. Jagalchi is constantly introducing exciting products. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out. You won’t be disappointed, and you’ll never get bored exploring what they have to offer. My family and I will definitely be back!
