Matjoa Korean BBQ Restaurant

Loved this restaurant in Clearwater, but so thrilled we now have it in our backyard in Citrus Park!! 💯food, 💯service. Awesome that they offer a single serving for the budae jigae. Additionally, the lunch value & quality for galbi is great. (Lunch specials everyday until 2:30 🙌) Their korean corn dog actually had a hot dog inside, unlike some others that only have cheese. My 5-yr-old deemed this his favorite dish to date 😆 Can’t wait to come back and make our way through the whole menu. Note that you’ll probably need a reservation on weekends- when we came on a Sat at 7pm, there was a 45 min wait.

een wanting to check this place out for the longest time—and it didn’t disappoint! Our server mentioned they’re relocating to the Westchase area soon, which is way closer and super convenient. One thing I really appreciated was the rollaway grills—they free up table space for all the side dishes, making the dining experience feel much less cramped compared to most Korean BBQ spots. We went with AYCE Option A, which included unlimited side dishes, brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and a few chicken items (which we ended up skipping). The only hiccup was the service lag—it took about 20 minutes for someone to check in on our next round of orders. But to be fair, we came right before the dinner rush hit hard—went from a few tables to packed in no time. Overall, solid experience and excited to visit the new Westchase location soon!

Matjoa(맛조아/means ‘Taste Good’ in Korean) is our go-to spot for a delicious and satisfying Korean meal! Their all-you-can-eat lunch is a fantastic deal—you get to enjoy a great variety of fresh meats and side dishes, all grilled to perfection right at your table. The food is authentic and full of flavor, from the well-seasoned meats to the tasty banchan (Korean side dishes). The service here is exceptional—Su and the rest of the staff are always so friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything you need. They make sure your grill is fresh, your drinks are refilled, and your experience is smooth and enjoyable. We absolutely love this place and keep coming back! If you’re a fan of Korean BBQ, you definitely need to check out Matjoa. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was surprisingly excellent! From the exterior, we were not expecting much, but we wanted to try something new, and it was a hidden gem. The food was delicious, bustling with flavor from homegrown ingredients, and cooked to perfection. The service was stellar, the staff was friendly, and the master chef cooked up fantastic creations.

Really enjoyed the food and services here. The Korean BBQ grill is interesting. It’s nice since you get the entire table to yourself but the BBQ is separated and roll to your table. It has Al La Carte or AYCE options. The meat is thin and the portion is small, but it’s good so you can try their other meats. The service is amazing! The servers explained the menu and walk around to make sure we need refills and help us cook our meats. I love steam eggs, but the chicken broth was a bit salty. However, they do have a lot of side dishes and they are perfectly seasoned.

This place is so good!! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. Comfort food for sure! Wish they had better parking, when it’s busy you are out of luck!

My wife and I went to this restaurant for the 1st time on 11/26/2023. Alvaro welcomed us and got us up to speed w/the regular menu, the BBQ menu and the Bar offerings. Chris was super helpful explaining the different dishes in detail and making suggestions for our first meal. Sisi checked on us also. The staff was friendly, welcoming, helpful & patient...in other words AWESOME. But the food!...WOW...so amazingly delicious. Everything was exquisite & we drank Soju (Original)...very smooth and refreshing. We can't wait to go back, and once again...the staff was AWESOME!!!
