La Serre

Everything was genuinely delicious. The oysters were perfectly balanced — not overly salty, just the way I like them. The escargot were absolutely stunning — rich, buttery, unforgettable. The salmon was beautifully cooked, but the real surprise was the mashed purée that came with it — smooth, flavorful, and elevated the whole dish. Cocktails were creative and refined. My absolute favorites: St Tropez Spritz and Versailles — both sophisticated and memorable. The interior feels minimal yet has its own charm — not overdesigned, but with character. I love that kind of understated elegance. And of course, the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend 🤍

Went for Chicago Restaurant Week and it absolutely met my expectations. Started with the tuna crudo and had the scallops for main. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully plated. Special shout-out to our server Kevin. Super hospitable, attentive without hovering, and genuinely made the night feel welcoming. Would definitely come back!

Just fantastic. First off, the restaurant is beautiful. So warm and inviting and colorful. Then, the service. Bobby, our waiter, was about as professional, courteous, and friendly as they come. Great recommendations and attentive throughout our meal. Now, the food: delicious. I sampled the scallops, gnocchi, and mussels for mains and each was amazing. My only real knock is the temperature. We could see the food being made, it came out fast, and yet the temperature of the gnocchi and scallops could have been better/hotter. But again - that is nitpicking. Entrees were great, appetizers as well, and overall, just a wonderful experience, especially to celebrate a special occasion. Highly recommend.

We spent New Year’s Eve here and had a very nice experience. The prix fixe menu offered by the restaurant was good. The dishes came out a bit quickly, likely due to the occasion, which caused some minor order mix-ups. However, the staff resolved them efficiently. Everything was delicious and very fresh — especially the tuna. The festive atmosphere was noticeable, and it’s a place I’d recommend for both family gatherings and date nights. Bonus: the venue has a mirror on the first floor specifically for photos, which is a fun touch.

A true taste of Provence in a wonderfully relaxed setting! La Serre is an absolute gem. The wood-furnished decor, accented beautifully with lush greenery, creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It truly feels like a cozy, yet chic, escape. Our dining experience was exceptional from start to finish. We began with the roasted escargot, which was perfectly prepared and a delightful appetizer. For the main course, the 14 oz New York strip prepared au poivre was outstanding. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and so generous in size it could easily feed two. The house-baked bread was delicious, and the frites were crispy and satisfying. Beyond the food, the cocktails were truly outstanding—creative, perfectly balanced, and a wonderful complement to the French theme. The combination of delicious food, fantastic drinks, and the beautiful, relaxed ambiance makes La Serre a must-visit. Highly recommended!

10/10 at La Serre! From the moment we sat down, the staff were amazing and the food completely delivered. We couldn’t stop talking about the French fries and the béarnaise-covered filet — both unreal. They were also hosting a special collaboration with Prime & Provisions (another Chicago steak favorite), which made the night feel extra special. Perfect spot for a girls’ night out, with fabulous cocktails to match. Huge shoutout to Erika and Bobby for taking such great care of us. We’ll definitely be back! 🍸✨

Just finished dinner at La Serre, and I couldn’t wait to write this review because I was truly impressed. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the warm welcome made the experience even better from the start. Every dish I ordered came out perfectly especially the Linguine Clams and the Duck Chinoise, both full of flavor and very well executed. The only downside was that the waiting time for the food was a bit long, but it was acceptable and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Definitely a place worth visiting!
