Mat-Jib - Korean Corndogs & Sushi Rolls

Everything tasted delicious 😋. We tried the sushi and miso soup on the lunch special, along with the fried mozzarella cheese (corn dog minus the dog). It was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised by the portions and the taste. My daughter and I shared the sushi and still had leftovers to take home!

Really not great. Corndog came out undercooked after a 20min wait. Sushi also below-gas-station-grade.

Found this place by accident when I went in the store it is inside to grab a snack during work. Super glad I did as the Playboy roll was delicious. Had a Monster Shrimp roll on my most recent visit. Rolls are probably the largest I have had. Portions definitely worth the price! Tried the Tempura Dragon Roll today...delicious! Love passing by here when I am at work and surprising myself with a roll! Well worth it.

Mat-Jib fancies itself a purveyor of elevated street fare, offering both sushi rolls and fried hot dogs at prices that suggest artistry; though the experience leans more toward overpriced novelty with a side of attitude. Let’s start with the pacing: one single fried hot dog with cheese took over ten minutes to emerge from the kitchen. No line, no crowd, just the deep-fryer’s slow existential crisis. Meanwhile, neighboring stall Love Bao cranked out full orders of meat and rice in the time it took Mat-Jib to wrangle one grease-drenched stick on a tray. Efficiency, apparently, is not on the menu. Now, about the ambiance - specifically the customer service. The grouch at the register, distinguished by a scowl that could curdle dairy, exudes all the warmth of a tax audit. A simple order feels like an imposition, and one icy glare is enough to turn hunger into self-reflection. You don’t so much eat here as endure. As for the food itself? It has the potential to be good, but like an actor in the wrong movie, it’s overshadowed by bad direction and worse vibes. A snack is only satisfying when served with something approaching basic human kindness. Here, you’ll get calories, but joy is strictly off the menu.

So glad there is a Korean Corn Dog place in Cary, NC! They are so tasty and the all mozzarella corn dog is my favorite! They also have so many kinds of sushi to choose from and it’s delicious!

These corn dogs were different lol, but overall I enjoyed them. They were really crispy, and big, I had about 1 and a half before I was too full to finish. I will definitely go back and try their sushi nxt time.

This was our first time here today. My family and I have been wanting to try the Korean Corndogs. We drove an hour and a half just to try them. The young lady and gentleman that helped me were extremely nice. They helped me place our large order of the 4 different kinds of Corndogs. They are absolutely worth the price and the time to get here. They are located in the food court inside of the H Mart. They were very busy today and they offer a variety of sushi as well. I would highly recommend coming here. We will come back to get more Corndogs and to try the sushi next time. 🙂I must admit my favorite is the potato Corndogs. They are all delicious.
