bb.q Chicken Cambridge

Lost count of how many times I’ve ordered from this place. Ever since this Cambridge location opened, it’s been my go-to for delivery orders (usually quicker here than at other branches, thanks to less traffic in the area). At this point, I know exactly how the boxes should look and feel before I even open them. That’s why my most recent order was instantly concerning. The boxes felt noticeably lighter, and sure enough, things were off. Turns out they’ve changed their wings and reduced the wing size even after raising prices. I’m not sure if this change is specific to the Cambridge location, though I’ve noticed the Allston branch has had smaller wings for a while (at least they serve 10 wings instead of 8). Unfortunately, this wasn’t just a cosmetic change. The wings weren’t as crispy or juicy as they used to be. Hopefully, this is just a temporary shift. If not, I may have to stop ordering from this location.

This BBQ definety is excellent choice for dinner and gathering. BBQ is 10% same flavor with Korean style. And I highly recommand secret sauce as your first try.

Thier spicy fried wings are legendary. But other stuffs are not that great, at least to me. I know other people might like the way it taste. The reason it tasted really good because of the way the box it up. I think it is very very good idea to have a hole at the top so that steam wont stay trap inside the box and get it all soggy. Their chicken wings stay crunchy even when I am late for pick up for that reason.

Great place. The food is delicious. The one thing would be the service… I came really happy and say hi and the person was so rude to me, didn’t even let me finish my sentences and rolled her eyes at me. Not really a good environment if you want to spend a good time…

We got takeout for a lunch meeting - definitely good Korean fast food quality that satisfies cravings. I’d say the quality varies between dishes especially when it’s temperature sensitive and been sitting out. The bbq signature rice bowl wasn’t as flavorful as I expected and the meat/topping to rice ratio was off for me. I’d recommend the tteokbokki dishes (rose was particularly flavorful/fun) if you’re doing takeout!

Definitely the best Korean chicken place around. Their spicy Galbi is so yummy! It truly reminds me of fried chicken I had in Korea! Their pickled radishes are also spot on.

I bought a hot meal for a woman possibly experiencing homelessness and asking for a few dollars. I give bb.q Chicken Cambridge 4 stars because of the pain and suffering the animals go through. At the same time the boneless wings don't have to be made from real chickens. Plant based ingredients are a remarkable and satisfying substitute for using birds. Pea protein is high in protein and a delightful healthy alternative. The person taking the order was gracious and I explained I couldn't tip because I was buying it for someone sitting outside in the cold and hungry.
