Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

I just attended a wedding here last week. The church itself is absolutely breathtaking, a true tribute to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. However, I feel compelled to share a serious concern that completely overshadowed this experience. I was not only an attendee but also a member of the wedding family. From the first interaction through the day of the wedding, the wedding coordinator, "Gretchen", was consistently rude, dismissive, and belittling toward the entire wedding party. She yelled, grabbed people's arms, scolded the bride & her father at their first look & the groom before he walked down the aisle. At one point after being ushered in, I was seated in a pew with the groom's father. Gretchen immediately approached me, looked me up & down, and said, "Excuse me, these are reserved for the family. I calmly replied that I was aware & with the family. She glared, turned around, ignored me entirely, & walked away without acknowledgement or an apology. It is very difficult to reconcile how such a beautiful, faith centered church would place someone with this demeanor in a position of authority. Her conduct was not only horrible, but poor for the church. She completely took away the joyful & CHRIST centered celebration that should have been. Because of this experience, I have no desire to step foot in this church again. I truly hope leadership takes this feedback seriously & considers making changes, as NO family celebrating their sacred wedding, should be treated this way.

If you are planning to get married here, I would think again. Yesterday, my brother and his wife got married in this church, although it is beautiful, Gretchen (the wedding coordinator for the church) was almost unbearably rude. There are many rules for the church which is fine, however, instead of informing us of the rules, she felt the need to shout and rudely tell us them. She was also VERY pushy and disrespectful to the bridal parties. Not only was she rude to the bridal parties, she was rude to the BRIDE AND GROOM, as well as our lovely photographers, videographers and family. Gretchen (in my opinion) was trying to ruin this beautiful day (although we would not let her do that). We also had until 4pm to do the ceremony and get pictures done, at 3pm she was rushing us to get our pictures done. So, until Gretchen either gets a reality check and learns to be nicer to people, or is FIRED, I wouldn’t recommend this church to anyone.

A holy and beautiful place! I can't wait till the work on the dome is finished and we can move Mass back into the sanctuary. ❤️

We brought the kids to visit Father Kapaun's tomb. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed praying and looking around the beautiful church. Easy parking. Plenty of signs to show the way to Father Kapaun's Tomb. We enjoyed the questions to get the code to unlock the door 😊 (though it was open when we went anyway.) Great visit, definitely recommend for anyone on pilgrimage. Thank you!

Beautifully decorated and feels peaceful inside. Loved the view of the domes and pillars. The Pieta is always a heart touching image. Loved it.

I went to Mass with a great friend. The Church was absolutely beautiful!
