French Academy DC

I have completed my first class with the French Academy DC. I have also taken many classes with Alliance Français. I prefer the French Academy's approach. They focus on developing conversation skills while reviewing grammar and learning new vocabulary. The class sizes are small (no more than six students) so each student can contribute to the discussions. I also like the grammar-related materials that we read for each class with the accompanying exercises. I really enjoyed our teacher. I'll be taking more classes with the French Academy! I would highly recommend this program.

Highly recommend the French Academy, especially with Eric! I started as a complete beginner in Survival 1, and since Week 1, I’ve noticed a major improvement in both my comprehension and pronunciation. The small class sizes at the French Academy make learning much less intimidating and allow for plenty of individual attention. Eric is an excellent teacher who creates a fully immersive environment and challenges us to speak and expand our vocabulary in every class! His teaching style makes learning French both fun and effective. I’m so grateful to have started my language journey here!

I have had a life-long desire to learn French, but have never quite found the right tools and resources to help me take my basics in French to the next level. I am so glad that I found French Academy DC. They have helped me feel more confident in my French, strengthen my pronunciation and expand my knowledge of the language. I have completed a Survival Intensive 1 course and look forward to engaging in other courses through this academy.

This was my first time taking a language course and it was a great experience. I took the online Survival 1 intensive course with a small group (total of 4 people). Our teacher, Maja, was wonderful and I really liked her teaching style. We also got to practice talking French with each other, which was fun and gave me more confidence to continue learning French. Highly recommend the French Academy!

This was my first time taking a class with French Academy DC. I took an online class that I thought was very effective. It was a small group of us, so we had a lot of opportunity to practice our conversation skills and to ask the instructor questions. The instructor was excellent (and super patient!). I feel that I got great value for the cost of the class. I will definitely sign up for another class, and I would not hesitate to recommend French Academy to others.

I really enjoyed the course! Clarisse, my teacher, is incredibly kind, patient, and enthusiastic about sharing her mother tongue with us. I especially appreciate how she makes sure everyone is included in the discussions. I also really enjoyed the reading topics—they were engaging and thought-provoking. Would definitely recommend for French learners

The French Grammar class was such a great beginner class to get you ready to learn French properly. The French Academy offers very useful materials. The instructor was incredible! I have already signed up for my next class.
