Virginia Russian Academy

The VA Russian Academy is an amazing place for children to learn Russian, make friends and have fun. We were lucky to find this exceptional school conveniently located off of Route 7 in Sterling a few years ago and have been customers ever since. As many Russian-speaking parents with bi-lingual children, we were concerned about the preservation of Russian language abilities, which are so easy to lose even with everyday reading and speaking at home. The school exceeded our expectations:not only does it use high-quality material and employ professional educators, but it also creates an atmosphere of friendship, kindness and curiosity. During 4.5 hours of Saturday classes on math, reading and writing, children spend time playing at the outdoor playground, too, as they should! 🙂 The school also offers additional lessons on theater, art, etiquette, and chess, as well as summer camp options. And they celebrate traditional holidays, too! 🙂 We can't recommend this place enough.

Best Russian language school ever! My daughter has been attending for 2 years now and has made leaps and bounds in her ability to speak, read, and write in Russian. The staff is always welcoming and extremely caring while the curriculum challenges the students in all the right ways. The facilities are gorgeous and super clean. We couldn't ask for a better school!!

My children have been attending VA Russian Academy for 2 years already. Their Russian language (speaking, writing, and reading) has improved significantly. Teachers are professional and have unique approach to every child. Besides learning Russian language, my kids really enjoy Art class. Children are always looking forward to Saturdays not only to learn language, but to enjoy a positive atmosphere and to spend a great time with their friends. I highly recommend VA Russian Academy!

I would like to take a moment and share about Virginia Russian Academy. We came to this school from another Russian school and never regretted. This school gave my son a strong and solid education. We had wonderful and talented teachers who were very professional and caring. I now enjoy speaking with my son in Russian language at home, being able to share and discuss Russian books, and watching him communicate perfectly with my parents (so important!) All of this speaks for itself. I highly recommend this school. We loved it. Thank you "Virginia Russian Academy" for doing an amazing job for the younger generations!

We've been with the Russian Academy for three years and we love it. Teachers are very professional, encouraging and supportive. My kids absolutely love the school. Russian Academy is a great place to learn Russian language and to make lifelong friends.

Love this place! VA Russian Academy is a great place to learn and improve your Russian skills! My kids have been going for over 3 years and have learned so much! The director is fantastic, teachers are very intelligent, and the program is advanced enough to challenge students and make progress in their writing and speaking abilities. We will continue to go here for many more years!

VA Russian Academy is a wonderful place to learn or improve your child’s Russian language skills. You’ll be immersed into an amazing and kind atmosphere with very knowledgeable and caring teachers who with great love and patience inspire the kids to discover the beauty of the Russian language and culture. In our Russian speaking family, the 4-year old could understand Russian, but couldn’t speak it, but after only 4 months at VA Russian Academy, we were amazed to hear him speak Russian with us. In addition to the vast knowledge passed on by the teachers, we also feel that the ability to interact with Russian speaking peers played an important role in our kid’s starting to communicate in Russian. In the 3 subsequent years at the school, our child learned to not only speak but write and read in Russian. We couldn’t be happier with VA Russian Academy!
