International Schoolhouse

International Schoolhouse is the BEST! We have had our three daughters here for the last 6 years and could not be happier with the education and experience they (and we) have received. Walking into ISH feels like walking into a warm hug every morning! The staff are kind, caring, phenomenal teachers, and fun. My girls have absolutely thrived here socially, emotionally, and academically. Carolina, Melissa, and the entire staff have become extended members of our family. We could not recommend a school more!!! The best in St. Louis.

Our daughter has been attending this Spanish immersion school for the past few years, and we truly couldn’t be happier. The teachers and staff are incredible—patient, loving, and genuinely dedicated to every child, not just the ones in their own classrooms. What stands out the most is the creativity and encouragement they bring every day, helping the kids grow not only academically, but also in imagination and confidence. It truly feels like a family environment where everyone cares deeply about the students. We are so grateful for the nurturing community our daughter gets to be a part of here.

We love ISH. For us, it all began with positive energy, welcoming vibes, the culture, genuine smiles, and fun personalities. The level of care, dedication to education AND FUN is truly top notch! All of the staff seem so happy to be there and welcome everyone with open arms. In the classrooms, it’s amazing to see just how creative and organized the teachers are. Every little thing seems to have an educational purpose and the projects they work on are SO creative and artistic. Beyond the classrooms, there is an exceptional level of creativity and resourcefulness that amazes me. The Art & Physical Education classes are fantastic! We absolutely love seeing our daughter coming home with new tricks & skills that she is so proud of. She has flourished in so many ways, in such a short amount of time, and we’re excited to see how she continues to grow on this journey. Another great aspect is the school always seems to be working together to plan and host many awesome family events throughout the year! It feels special for us to be a part of this school community; Truly a family experience that we will remember forever.

Incredible teachers and community. We moved to St. Louis a decade ago and had a hard time finding "our place" until we enrolled at this school-- my kids attended for six years and we have nothing but wonderful things to stay about the teachers and their time there. Yes, they learn Spanish, but it's so much more than an immersion school. The Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms were small enough for individual attention, and we've been so impressed with the curriculum offered. We loved our time here -- just wished it went through 5th grade!

International Schoolhouse has been a wonderful preschool for our daughter. We were initially interested due to the Spanish immersion component ("we don't teach Spanish, we teach IN Spanish"), and have only grown to love the school community more over time. The teachers are wonderful human beings who are called to work with children, the art program is absolutely top-notch, and the community events make it easy to get to know other parents.

We love this school! The education they provide is fantastic. Their teachers are actual educators who understand early childhood education and development and provide an incredible learning environment for young children. They have incredible teacher retention with basically zero teacher turnover. Our family has no Spanish-speaking background, but our four year old now speaks Spanish easily with strangers. (It’s so fun to see!) Beyond the Spanish language skills, this is an amazing school. The language skills are like icing on the cake.

I cannot say enough great things about this school. The families and children are genuine, wonderful people. The teachers and staff are creative, supportive and encouraging role models that have set the bar high for a first school experience. The art program is the best I have ever seen. It’s an amazing community in addition to an amazing school. My two children both left kindergarten reading and writing in English and in Spanish!
