Excellent museum! We got a free tour including a rich variety of aircraft. Lots of cool jets, many of which are even flight capable! Absolutely worth your time to stop by!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Western Sky Aviation Museum. We loved seeing the old aircraft and learning about each one. At the end of the tour we actually got to go inside a Douglas made DC-4. We saw all of the control panels of the cockpit and also got to walk through the fuselage. We enjoyed the WWII displays in the plane as well. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about each of the planes and the countries that made them. If you're into planes or history, this would be a fun place to visit.
We had come here for the air show that happened. However it wasn’t exactly an air show as expected, the museum was still cool to look at. Learning the history and seeing such a diverse collection of planes was nice.
Found this on maps by coincidence when travelling through UT and it was definitely a stop worth making. Gentleman there gave us a tour of airplanes and explained into details. Amount of airplanes varies depending on day to day. This week there were much less as majority is on a show in Oshkosh, but still quite a lineup. Worth of visit for any airplane enthusiast 😍😎 There is no ticket fee, but as museum is funded solely by donations, please don’t cheap out and contribute to existence with making a donation 🙏😎
My family visited back in April and it was a great experience! The staff members were so friendly and were obviously passionate- gave a great tour! While they were busy, our tour guide took the time to answer all of our questions and have in-depth conversations about the different planes’ histories (both for the specific aircraft and for the model in general). We also went the day before a Las Vegas aircraft show was set to take place, so we had the very special opportunity to see a Vampire Jet take off (I believe one of a handful of air-worthy Vampire jets in the world). Obviously, this part was not guaranteed, but the rest of the plane collection and the passion and excitement from the museum team makes it worth the visit!
Fantastic museum allowing very closeup experience w lots of early jet warbirds up to F-5s, including Soviet models and interesting odds and ends. Great storytelling staff as well! Highly recommend.
Really cool place to check out, lots of friendly and educated people to talk to!
