I say this is a 5 star facility simply due to Master Kim and his colleagues and how they run their programs. We relocated to Texas and I have yet to find any taekwondo offerings close to this. Master Kim was understanding with both me and my son and held him to a certain standard. Standards that I continue to enforce with him with his taekwondo practice in Texas. I only wish Master Kim could be in two states at once. I am happy to have had my kid here. Thank you all for such a great program.

Our 6 year old son is a goofball and Jung Kim's Martial Arts Taekwondo classes are the first thing we've seen him really take seriously. Not only does he focus during the physical training part of the class class, but he has taken to heart the moral lessons at the end of each class as well. He even started making his own bed per his TKD master's instruction!

Pros: Kids learned some self defense moves. Increased a little confidence. Cons: Like someone else said, expensive recess for average value. Big simping culture for certain types of demographics. And unless you're a kiss up, they won't cater to your presence. When we resigned, they could've cared less even though we were polite the whole time.

Amazingly coordination by the coaches well organized. my 2 kids had their first class today, I was impressed on all they learned in just one lesson I can see now that I'm making a very important investment in their lives. Discipline, respect and courage 😃

If I could rate lower, I would. I certainly don't recommend this school. The instructor pushes all his students to be promoted up to the next belt every two to three months, regardless of their skill level or how much the child struggles with the new forms. Though pushing a child and having high standards and expectations is not a bad thing, the instructor seems to have no patience with children when they need longer than two to three months to learn the new material. Unfortunately, sometimes children struggle with new material and new forms. Such was the case with my son. Instead of allowing my son to work at his own pace and take the time he needed to get the new material down, the instructor seemed rather dissatisfied that my son hadn’t been promoted within his preferred two-three months’ timeline. When my son was pretesting in preparation for the upcoming belt test, the instructor stopped him in the middle. (My son briefly paused to think through his next step; apparently, this was a mistake). According to this instructor, my son was taking far too long to learn the new material (that he struggled with tremendously, though was making great progress)! He informed my son that should he not test in the upcoming belt test, "there are consequences". The instructor thought the appropriate "consequence" for my son not learning the material quick enough was to demote him all the way back down to a white belt, regardless of the time, commitment, energy, and effort my son had exhibited to earn the belts he had currently, and that he had exhibited in learning the new forms. Stripping a child of the belts they truly earned is certainly not the way to motivate or encourage a child to continue working hard at something they enjoy! This teaching style does not instill any sort of confidence in the instructorship, nor does it teach one to respect the instructor.

Wonderful place for children and adults to grow as a person, learn self confidence, lear self respect and respect for your family. The staff are truly some of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure of meeting and they way they work with the children is second to none.
