Going through the school was an awesome experience. I got to learn a lot from the teachers and everyone of them were super helpful if I was stuck on a project. Of course I wish the program was a little longer but I was able to learn the basics from each class. Also, huge shoutout to Autumn, who is my graduate assistant! She was able to help me finally find a stable start for my career! She’s defined one of the best people they got at Northwestern Tech!

Northwestern Technological Institute in Southfield is a great school for HVAC if you’re willing to take advantage of the opportunities the right way. I enjoyed my time there and gained exactly what I needed to get into the HVAC field. The job placement advisors are a huge help, especially Autumn. I worked with her while I was attending and even after I graduated, and she was always available to answer questions and push me to get my foot in the door. She genuinely cares about the students and goes out of her way to help you succeed. I’m thankful for the experience and the support I received, highly recommend this school for anyone serious about HVAC.

I graduated from Northwestern Tech at the end of the pandemic while working over 50 hours a week. It wasn’t easy balancing long shifts, coursework, and the uncertainty of that time—but I stayed committed. Every late night and early morning pushed me to grow stronger, more disciplined, and more focused on the future I wanted to build. For me, graduating was about much more than money. It was about being part of something meaningful and proving to myself that I could finish what I started. The journey challenged me, but the reward lasts forever. What you earn through hard work and perseverance becomes something no one can ever take away.

Overall great school to get your career started. great teachers who are happy to be there and are willing to teach you everything they know. great support from the financial teams who are always there to help you. Autumn Rinna was my graduate services advisor and she is the best of the best, always there for you, she makes the entire job finding process almost effortless. Autumn is amazing at what she does!

Honestly I was stuck in a slum heading nowhere in life, that was until I came across an ad for this school. Signed up went and graduated, my life is already better! I’m in the field working and supporting my family. The graduation advisor Autumn is so sweet and kind and cares for her job, her school, and the people that attend there. I’m very happy to have met her and go to this school as it has open continuous doors for me. Highly recommend. Get up and get going sign up

I went here for the full term of the program and I got absolutely nothing out of it. There was maybe a total of 2 teachers that actually cared to teach and help the students. The job placement that they promise to help with is a straight up lie because if you don’t manage to find a job in the next couple of months after the program ends they cease all contact and abandon you. Don’t waste your time or money.

2, 20 minute breaks in a 4 hour period. The info is stretched thin to make sure that the class lasts as long as physically possible. Unfortunately the class goes at the pace of the slowest learner which doesn’t motivate individuals to learn at their own pace. There have been many times where I’m ahead of the class on the lab work and I’m told to take an extra 15 minute ON TOP of the 20 minute breaks. All while you’re sitting there scratching your head wondering what education you’re paying for. Also they don’t provide books anymore as of this year so I had to go out of my way and figure out what book the teacher is pulling all the info from only to find out in the next class you take there’s a completely different book for all the slides that you weren’t informed of. All in all my experience at this place has been sub par. -$18,000 out of pocket because I filed my taxes last year. I should’ve just been a bum for a year and I would’ve gotten around $10,000 from the government to go here.
