Black Tiger Taekwondo Martial

My daughter and son both train at BlackTiger, and the experience has been exceptional. Beyond learning Taekwondo, they’re developing confidence, discipline, and respect — qualities that carry into every part of their lives. Master Kenny, Master Cho, and Master Lee create an inspiring environment that motivates the kids to do their best. Thank you so much Black Tiger!!

My kids have trained at Black Tiger for a number of years. The masters are very patient and make the class fun for the kids. In addition to Taekwondo, they teach respect and focus of mind and body.

Our 11-year-old and 7-year-old twins have been attending Taekwondo here for 3 years, and the progress has been outstanding. Master Kenny and the team are professional, patient, and truly care about helping kids grow both in skill and character. We love that the focus is not only on martial arts but also on discipline, respect, and confidence. The classes are well-structured, the energy is always positive, and the kids look forward to every session. Parking can be a little busy at times, but that’s a very small trade-off for such an excellent program. We’re so grateful to Master Kenny and the school, and highly recommend it to other families!"

Update: Fast forward 3 years from when we first started – my older daughter has just taken her black belt test, and my younger daughter is training to compete in the USATKD National Taekwondo Championships next month. Training with Master Cho, Master Lee, and Master Kenny has made such an incredible impact on our young taekwondo athletes. They've not only grown in skill but also in strength, focus, and confidence. They have gone from competing in in-house tournaments to local, regional, and state tournaments, as well as performing on stage at the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival, all of which have been such a valuable and memorable experience for all of us. We are so grateful to continue to be a part of the Black Tiger Taekwondo program and its wonderful community of students and their families and highly recommend their program to anyone interested in pursuing taekwondo. My 9yo and 6yo girls have been attending Black Tiger Taekwondo since June, and they look forward to their classes each and every week. Master Kenny, Master Cho, and Master Kim are wonderful. You can tell from their interactions with the kids how genuinely the masters love working with kids, and how passionate they are about taekwondo. They teach focus and discipline but also love joking around with the students, making them feel welcomed as well as entertained. There are many other studios closer to where we live, but we are more than happy to drive a little further to the Black Tiger studio for these instructors and their program. I've also been impressed by the precautions that the masters have taken to keep everyone safe. This is the only indoor activity that we are willing to do right now because of their attention to properly worn masks on everyone, as well as ventilation. My girls are green and orange stripe belts right now, and I hope they'll stick with it all the way through black!

Both my kids attend here. All the masters are exceptional. Along with Martial Arts kids learn discipline, focus, and all the class feel welcoming. Kids are always eager to attend.

The Masters at this Taekwondo class are truly outstanding! Their skill and professionalism are impressive, but even more so is their ability to connect with and inspire the children. Our son has been attending for a couple of months and absolutely adores them. He's learning at a rapid pace thanks to their excellent guidance. As parents, we appreciate their dedication and the positive impact they're having on our son. We wholeheartedly recommend this class and can't wait for our younger child to join in the future.

This Taekwondo school is truly outstanding and highly recommend it! The exceptional instructors are the heart of its success. Their incredible skill and patience shine through as they expertly guide kids of all ages and energy levels, ensuring every class is both engaging and exciting. They've mastered the art of blending fun with structured learning, creating a wonderfully positive and respectful atmosphere. Watching the kids develop impressive moves, enhanced focus, and deep respect has been incredible. Plus, they're clearly having a fantastic time and are always thrilled for their next class!
