I visited Angels Gate Park with my kids & friend after stopping by to see the Korean Bell of Friendship (refer to review for more deets). We didn't see the whole park, just went to the playground (that's down the slope & east of the bell) for the kids to run off some excessive energy before heading home. According to the City of L.A. Department of Recreations & Parks, AGP is open daily from 6:30 AM - 10:00 PM, & parking lot hours are from sunrise - sunset. Hmmm... what happens if you're there after 8:00 PM? Does this mean you can't use Point Fermin Parking Lot? Other reviewers mentioned there's plenty of street parking; I have no idea where since we used the practically empty lot that's just north of the bell. This park has lots to offer: playground, picnic tables, walking paths & hiking trails, & amazing ocean views, with walking access to: Korean Bell of Friendship, Fort MacArthur Military Museum, Point Fermin Lighthouse, Point Fermin Park, Angels Gate Park, Joan Milke Flores Park, & Wilders Addition Park. A picnic permit is required to reserve picnic tables & areas for organized events/birthday parties. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times; any defecation must be immediately removed. No smoking/vaping or alcohol at any time. I probably won't revisit this park unless I'm going to see the Korean Bell of Friendship or want to fly a kite. This is probably one of the best parks in addition to the other ones within walking distance; it was extremely windy for on a Friday late afternoon. Remember to wear a jacket... brrr!

Great park right on the ocean and 4 blocks from where I live. Great place to just sit and unwind or go for a walk. See alot of local wildlife mainly Seabirds, Falcons and Hawks but you'll catch the occasional fox or coyote early in the morning and squirrels everywhere

This park is so perfect for a family gathering or intimate picnic. The grass is green, lots of palm trees for shade and of course the gorgeous view of the pacific ocean. There are a lot of friendly squirrels and birds. You can easily walk down to the water. The homes across the street are stunning. The bathroom isn't the cleanest but it is available. It is a safe, clean and gorgeous area to spend the day at.

One of my favorite local places to enjoy the ocean and sunsets. Don’t forget to bring your camera or cell phone to get some good photos! These were all taken with my iPhone.

Such a nice park... Always stop by here when I'm in San Pedro... Just so relaxing..the best part is the ice cream trucks.. they have everything u want ... Ice cream, chips, milkshakes, candy and much more... It's always nice to see the classic cars parked on the side of the of the road while listening to oldies.. don't get any better than this... The view here are just amazing.. sunsets are breathtaking... It's a must to sit and just watch the sunset... U can also see Catalina island from the park... Highly recommended if in the area...

Great park overlooking the bluffs. The trail to the ocean is nice. It’s a very rocky beach but looks great. Parking available along the street and picnic tables on top. Great to take in the scenic vistas.

Caught a nice sunset here today. They have a paved walk that goes down to an observation area on the side. There is a nice grassy area on top the bluffs good for walking your pet along with some picnic tables. Public restrooms are available and there is free parking along the street.
