Beautiful campus! And very friendly staff. The Wellness Center is AMAZING and I love the little reflection garden next door. If you’re taking a tour, be sure to ask if you can see the original Chapel in McAuley Hall. The stained glass windows are stunning.

My BayView high school experience provided me with a strong academic foundation and life-long friends. In particular, the science department thoroughly prepared me to succeed in rigorous college and medical school classes. I would recommend this school to all young women, especially those interested in a STEM career.

Bay View Academy helps girls grow up to be incredible young women. I work on the sports coaching staff at Bay View and have never met more intelligent, generous, dedicated, polite, and caring students. It is crystal clear to me that the girls who attend Bay View are enjoying their education and are being prepared very well for what's next in their lives. Bay View serves their students well.

I was a student of this school starting around the early 2000s, so things have hopefully changed since then. Why take the time to still write a review you ask? Well, because the treatment by the actual Principal and especially the Vice Principal Pate has continued to have negative ramifications to my life to this day. Pate reveled in having a few students who she deemed "problems" even if there were no traditional "trouble makers" in a class. She would pull me out of a class, make me late to my next class, and then lie to my teacher when I told them I was late to class because I had to talk to Pate (they would caller her to confirm what I said in front of me and she would actually lie and tell them that she never had a meeting with me at all)...again. For what, you ask? Because they wanted me to do an after school activity that I refused to do due to the director/coach's treatment of me outside of school, and Pate's horrid treatment of me during class time. I almost failed out of my last year of schooling there not because I was a bad student, but because I literally missed more than half of a year of classes for no reason at all other than I wouldn't participate in an after school activity. My family made the decision to pull both myself and my sisters out of the school entirely so they would not have to be subjected to Pate as well. That being said, the actual teachers for the most part were lovely with very few exceptions. The education you receive is very good, I'm not going to lie. I confidently felt that I was beyond my peers when I went to college due to the education that I received at Bay View. But, it's honestly not worth the risk of your mental well being. The bullying done by the people who should be protecting your children is completely unacceptable. I would only wholeheartedly recommend sending your daughter to this school if there has been a change in "management" so to speak since 2015. Which, looking at their website, there unfortunately hasn't been.

Bayview offers academic rigor combined with a mercy tradition that builds students’ character, integrates service learning, focuses on spiritual wellness, nurtures social- emotional development, and promotes social justice. Teachers are dedicated, responsive, caring, and experts in their field. They are strengths based, culturally responsive, inclusive and connected to every student in their approach. Every student is valued at Bayview- the athlete, mathlete, scientist , artist, performer, and more! Bayview teaches to the whole child and equips young women with an experience and opportunities to find their voice and feel confident, competent and ready to lead.

This is an excellent schools for girls and young women. The girls are confident, poised and impressive for their age. Whenever they are among peers they stand out. The faculty is very friendly and they are truly concerned with the development of our daughters. Athletics are excellent, theater program is top-notch. Their robotics team just won the state championship. I could go on.

This is truly a remarkable school. They strive to produce well rounded young women. Their teaching and administrative staff are student oriented. They don't teach the tests; they teach the skills and curriculum that our next generation will need in a competitive society such as our own: body, mind, soul, and heart. Being an all-girls college-prep school, the issues dealt with here are nowhere near what a public school would encounter. St. Mary's Academy Bayview has a long standing tradition of the Sisters of Mercy and reaching out to all students. You and your daughter will not be disappointed.
