Ahh the allure of online classes, the ultimate in convenience. The freedom to complete course content when it fits into your busy schedule. Just be aware, the college upcharges for this. You can see it in their tuition chart. BUT what they don’t disclose, written in any of their web pages, or verbally with your advisors, instructors, department chairs and literally any staff member you might bump into, is that if you are taking courses that require third-party assignment and test proctoring (this includes any course in the health sciences) you will essentially need fiber optic internet service to use the proctoring service. Happy with your high-speed DSL service that has always been there for you? Well NOT good enough for PCC’s third party proctoring service. The other thing an unsuspecting student learns is that if EVERYTHING isn’t just right with your computer, the required web browser and extensions, and if you don’t access this third party proctor in JUST THE EXACT RIGHT WAY, none of the stuff will work for you. NONE OF IT. Oh sure, PCC has 24-7 tech support and the proctoring outfit has a customer support email and phone number, but good luck with all that. Your level of ‘help/support’ is literally dependent on who is on the other side of the line at the moment (IF anyone is actually there). I would rather walk 100 miles on broken glass and tetanus inducing rusty nails, than deal with this abomination of a proctoring outfit. You would be better off jumping from the highest Colorado 14teener and landing on a bed of metal spikes, covered in the most potent, concentrated neurotoxin, submerged in hydrochloric acid, filled with electric eels, sharks, and the most viscous piranhas known to man, than have to deal with all the headaches associated with the PCC third party online assignment and test proctoring outfit.
The school itself is great! However the dental hygiene program is a JOKE. Poorly run and designed for failure. I graduated and love my career but would never wish the hazing and trauma I received during the 2 year program on anyone. Now that a program has opened up in the Spring.. Choose wisely.
I will give 3 stars because the Fremont campus was phenomenal and I got my general studies from there. That being said I was in the dental hygiene program at the Pueblo campus and it was highly abusive. I can account for multiple instances where my hand was slapped, dental instruments were thrown at me, and not to mention the favoritism and belittling from instructors. Unless you’re a favorite, you will not graduate from the program and money and time will be wasted. If you plan on going to dental hygiene school, please consider another institution.
Both myself and my daughter are graduates of PCC. Just read the College and Foundation Community report for 2025, so many exciting advances to meet our community and national work force needs for generations to come!! I was so grateful for the impact of PCC in our family achievements. Thank you for your continued expansion of meeting the educational needs of our future! Darlene
I got failing grades for lab days that did not exist. Communication for an appeal did not happen. Dawnelle Mathis kicked me out without a second chance. I passed both medical emergencies and pharmacology. Richard jones was no help when it came to defending me. I was wrongfully booted from the paramedic program, I was recommended to not come to this school. This is why. There’s no guidance, I was unable to get help or directory of anything till it was too late. If I could give this school a -5 I would. PCC is not helpful, PCC does not care about needs, and Dawnelle and Richard both do not care if you succeed or fail.
They were sending bills in the mail to my mom‘s house. Didn’t call me once and now I have one month to pay $1200 or they’re sending it to collections. I called and asked for a payment plan even just one month extension so I could pay them and they said no they take advantage of people who are young and don’t have money. It cost nothing to give somebody extra time to pay off the bill
FABULOUS IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY! VERY MODERN & UPDATED, HIGHLY AFFORDABLE, AMAZING STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES STAFF/FACILITIES/PROGRAMS, & VERY HIGH-QUALITY & GENUINELY CARING STAFF!! THANK YOU!! 🙏💯👏👌
