Pasadena Buddhist Temple

I went there as part of the art walk. The alter is so beautiful. The art was so beautiful. The people were wonderful. They had food and explained how it was made. The food and tea was great.

The Pasadena Buddhist Temple has been an important institution for the Japanese American for decades, serving as a religious sanctuary, facilities for youth activities and a local community center. The Annual Obon Festival every July is a celebration for those who have passed and a way to show our appreciation for the sacrifices they made for us. But more than that, it is a gathering of the entire community that offers traditional (and fun) obon dancing, cultural entertainment and demonstrations, festival foods, games for the family.
