World Taekwondo Academy

I went here as a kid up until high school and every training session I did really helped me to gain confidence and the strength to do the things I do today. Not only does this class teaches you self-defense but also builds a foundation of values to apply outside of the class room. The Grand Master is an experienced and accomplished martial artists who traveled practically everywhere in the world that involves Taekwondo. And his son who is also an instructor is patience with all of his students. I take my kids here too and they absolutely love it too. So I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants their kid to do an extra activity or to learn self-defense or to simply get in shape! But overall this school is a lot of fun and you feel like it's a family.

My daughter has been learning Taekwondo for a bit more than a year at the World Taekwondo Academy. I strongly recommend the World Taekwondo Academy. I carefully selected this school after looking at several other martial art schools. I speak from the stand point of someone who practiced martial art and self-defense in Europe and in the USA. Also, I attend 99% of the lessons as an observer. After careful consideration, I chose this school because of the spirit: Grand Master Lee, his son Master Lee and the other black belts who teach at the school are genuinely passionate about teaching Taekwondo. Most classes have 10 to 20 students. Two often three black belts are present to teach. The classes are broken down in sub groups so that students can get the level of attention that they need. Teaching is adapted to the aptitude of the student. All students are encouraged to excel. The best students benefit from the teaching of Grand Master Lee who was Korean champion and head coach on three National teams, including the USA Taekwondo National team. The teaching provided at the World Taekwondo Academy goes beyond Taekwondo; it is a school of life. Please, read the review written by Rithy Nong. After reading that review, I made an effort to not be redundant. Comparing and contrasting with my previous experience, the quality of the teaching ranks at the top and the price is perfectly reasonable. My daughter started with two classes a week, then added one more (sparing) and recently added another. She takes four lessons a week for the same price. Learning Taekwondo is similar to fitness, dieting or investing in the sense that it is long term and your results are directly proportional to the efforts that you put in. Having observed classes for a bit more than a year, I have seen many students grow, improve, become more confident, focused and calmer. The school belongs to the World Taekwondo Federation, which means that your progress is recognized everywhere in the world. I would like to offer a suggestion. The World Taekwondo Academy offers one thing that I have not seen at any other school: two weeks, four lessons, Taekwondo uniform included trial. Try it for yourself. If you like it you can continue. If you do not like it, there is no commitment. This way, you can form your own independent opinion about the school.

Grand master Lee is a great person; He is very good at teaching and shows a lot of patience. He encourages all the kids and gives individual attention. My Children and I have been learning from Grand Master Lee and Master Joon from more than 10 years. I strongly recommend World Taekwondo Academy to children and adults who would like to have an excellent sport and fitness program in their routine. A major incentive to learn from this school is that you will earn a genuine credential from World Taekwondo Federation (Kukkiwon) whereas several schools give their own certificates stating the candidate met "standards of Kukkiwon" but not actual certificate from Kukkiwon. My daughter started at a tender age and is now a 4th degree black belt after 11 years and is on her way towards striving for a 5th degree in next few years.
