Edit: We did recieve a phone call and got the information we needed! Thank you! We keep trying to get information about the medical assistant certification program. But everyone gives us the run around, now theres a wait list, the people that said speak to this person who doesn't respond to emails. Her and the advisor don't answer questions very well in person and dont answer the phone. Will gladly adjust this rating base on if we get answers and timely response. We have gotten tired of this run around question avoidance.

If you’re planning on joining the adult esthetician program at the Rockwell campus, I recommend going elsewhere. The instructor, Ms. Stevenson, needs to retire or be replaced. She barely teaches, constantly contradicts herself, and seems more interested in appearances than actually helping her students succeed. For example, she once tried to put a student on academic probation, which means you’re considered behind and can’t perform services. But that student had already completed all of her work. Only after being pushed to pull up the assignments did Ms. Stevenson admit the truth. She often doesn’t know where her students stand yet is quick to punish. Her grading and rule enforcement are inconsistent. At the start of the course, she told us we could listen to music but not watch TV. Later, I was listening to music with one earbud in—still able to hear if she spoke to me—and she suddenly claimed music wasn’t allowed. She dismissed me instead of addressing me respectfully. She bends or changes her own rules whenever it’s convenient. When students need actual support, she avoids extra work. For instance, she refuses to submit student hours at 500/600 so we can test sooner and get work permits, saying it’s "extra paperwork." That decision directly delays careers but she won’t help. Her attitude is dismissive and unprofessional. She rolls her eyes when asked for help, forgets things, and refuses to take accountability. She once yelled at me for performing a service I had asked permission for, then laughed it off without apologizing. She only makes an effort when being observed by higher-ups—otherwise, she leaves us to figure things out through classmates or videos. She also creates a toxic classroom environment by talking negatively about students to others. Surveys we complete every few months only frustrate her instead of helping her improve. Once, she even yelled at a student for submitting a survey question about correcting their attendance name, even though it wasn’t directed at her. After surveys, she’s openly mad at students instead of reflecting on her own teaching. This isn’t my first negative experience here. My first nail tech teacher acted the same way—disengaged and self-focused—before retiring. She even put me on academic probation and failed me without telling me, despite proof I was caught up. My second teacher, however, was amazing—so I know the program can work when the right instructors are in place. Now, with Ms. Stevenson, it feels like the same problems all over again. I’ve heard from others that she’s been receiving poor reviews for years, which makes me wonder why she’s still here. Students deserve a teacher who actually teaches and respects them. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect professionalism, support, and mutual respect. Instead, this program leaves students frustrated, unsupported, and constantly second-guessing their own progress. That should be a serious concern for anyone considering enrolling. also because "ft owner" commented, if you took reviews seriously, this teacher would have been gone a long time ago do to bad reviews over MANY years. i’ve gone through this twice you just don’t care ft

I spent most of my time at the main building and I enjoyed the facility itself. Lots of parking, a clean campus, a cafeteria on site, and vending machines around campus. The staff has good energy and are super helpful. They had a summer program for young children probably around teen/preteen ages and they were very organized shuttling them between lunch and their classes. I was there for continuing education credits and have enjoyed the teachers thus far. The campus/environment made me want to go back to school to study there.

Alright let me just keep this short, This school is an experience for a lifetime whether it being your desire to learn about your passion or simply the process you need for the steps that turn ambition into opportunity. This is not a paid promotion, although I wish it were. 😂

Can anyone explain why the director refuses to return multiple voicemails left, emails sent? Getting zero help for a simple question.

I am truly impressed with the level and variety of classes and topics for future job learning skills that this campus offers. My daughter was chosen to attend and though it is very difficult the opportunity is fabulous for getting ahead and getting it jump on life for career choices.

My broadcast teacher Hertneky admitted to using AI on all her quizzes, then told me that my certifications don’t matter in our job space and that I am wasting my time and money taking this course. Edit: For context, these AI generated quizzes had directly contradictory information to the textbook. They also had paraphrased vocabulary which made it even more difficult to tell what was going on. I can’t believe I paid any amount of money for this. The school investigated this, she covered herself, and I got treated like I was lying about what she said by Mr Steed as he talked down to me and held my attendance over my head. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable, sad, and hopeless about a career path, and thats what I told Mr Steed before he talked down to me. I beg no one takes the broadcast course here. They don’t care. Many more places have equally nice equipment and better quality/actual instruction. The teachers almost never instruct at all, and the entire class is in canvas, featuring literally just youtube videos and text selections from the textbook. It is all self paced, by the book, no more no less. After being a hundred hours over schedule for the entire semester, then being told none of my certs or work mattered, I left. Watch Cert videos online. Buy used textbooks. Pay for the tests yourself. You will save money and not have to deal with laziness and disrespect
