Airy, quiet, clean event space. Nice place to put stop or regroup and respite in a clean and quiet and lovely environment. Library on top floor is serene and quiet. Interactive room exhibit. Basement holds theatre. Pop in if you’re passing by. It’s not really an informational type of place to go ask all your k desire questions. It’s more an event space with limited staffing.
I visited here for my son's dance class to learn Soda pop dance from K-Pop Demon Hunters. I gotta mention that I traveled from Massachusettes for this class. Some may say it is crazy to come all the way from Mass but what an amazing idea for kiddos who love that movie and music! I was genuinely happy and impressed during the whole process how professional and kind the staff was. Her name is Haelim Yun (윤혜림) and she was on the game. She corresponded with all the emails very quickly and thoroughly with kindness and made me feel welcomed. She guided me with every step of the way and I was so happy to meet her in person when we arrived there! The whole organization of the events and marketing was just impressive. Well done! I also did not know this culture center existed and I am so glad I visited here. What a beautiful and modern building it is! From the entrance it displays the stunning Korean beauty and like everyone mentions the Hangeul Wall on the first floor was just brilliant. Each floor was well kept and beautifully decorated. I felt very proud to show this place to my bi-cultural son. Thank you for all the staff who make this happen!
Love it here each floor has something different and they also be having events , today I went to one it was really nice and I learned a lot. I Will be going back again.
A Testament to the South Korean Success story in terms of execution, design, discipline, management and location. Having lived in Far East for over a decade including Seoul I do not know of another Country including Peoples Republic of China, Singapore or Thailand who have successfully built a facility of this calibre in Western Country🇰🇷🐲🐅 Makes me proud of my Fully South Korean Wife, Son, family and supportive S. Korean friends.
I went to visit all the way from Canada with a 4 year old boy to have him experience Korean culture. However, they were closed for renovation. What I am disappointed about is that there was no announcement regarding the closure on their website or google, moreover no sign on their front door. We actually opened the door only to find out the site of renovation construction and no one seemed to care about us. They need to work on communication on their opening so that no other visitors would not come for nothing.
The new facility is well maintained and the team here is very welcoming. My sister and I attended the NYAFF showing of Hear Me: Our Summer (청설) directed by Jo Seon-Ho (조선호). We absolutely loved the film. The entry process was simple, the staff notified us of emergency exits, and the audio was high quality. *** Tears may be shed depending on what you view/how you react. I recommend packing some tissues just in case.
They promoted an event on social media using influencers who claimed you could get "free ramen". I went all the way there and once I arrived there was a sign that says they will not be giving out any ramen for the exhibition. Very misleading and such a bummer for those that go all the way there.
