KOCO Center

KOCO center has helped me a lot with improving my spoken language skills, as well as grammar and spelling. Classes are paced well and weekly homework is given, the textbook used is palatable and thorough. Dawoon is the best teacher, she is patient, kind and very knowledgeable!

I have been highly impressed with KOCO Center! From the very first interaction I had with them, they have been highly responsive and eager to help me meet my Korean language goals. Having lived in Korea and studied Korean at a major university, I have been pleasantly surprised with the educational quality and expertise of the KOCO Center instructors. The curriculum is very different from what I previously used and it has shown how much I still have to learn. I am taking these classes for my own enrichment and enjoyment and someday hope to return to Korea. I believe we never stop learning, it is simply a matter of what areas into which we choose to focus our energies. Learning Korean through KOCO Center has been well worth my time and energy. Try a trial class! I think you will be hooked!

My teen son has been learning Korean since he was a baby. He has spent time in Korea and taken classes in the U.S. So he has a strong background and uses Korean daily. However, not living in Korea means that he still needs to strengthen his skills and receive nuanced feedback. His teacher has done an excellent job adjusting to his skill level and is able to key in to particular areas where he is lacking. His teacher is kind and caring and able to make the classes interesting and we are very happy!

I have really enjoyed learning Korean through the KOCO Center! I take private lessons with Insil Choi, who is phenomenal - she's helped me reach the next level with homework tailored to my goals and great, ultra-condensed class sessions. I appreciate the fact that classes are offered in-person, not to mention that they're the cheapest (and most efficient) option for Korean classes in the NYC-area.

I previously invested in self-learning Korean for some time but was not achieving the results I was looking for; wanted guidance to achieve my next set of goals. I took the leap of faith after much consideration to do a trial lesson and felt very comfortable with my instructor and thankful that they were patient with me and understood my needs. I am glad to say I always look forward towards my weekly sessions. As with anything people's preferences and styles may differ but for that I would highly suggest taking the trial session to see if it's the right fit for you.
