Fordham University at Lincoln Center is frequently characterized in my social and professional circles as a premier intellectual sanctuary, where the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence converges with the high-octane cultural energy of Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Based on many detailed conversations with students and alumni who have navigated its programs, it is clear that the campus offers a substantive and rigorous curriculum, particularly within its law and social work departments, which my acquaintances consistently credit for their successful transition into competitive industries. It is deeply impressive how the university maintains a culture of transparent ethical leadership and profound respect for the individual, qualities that the local community often highlights as a key factor in its reputation for producing well-rounded, socially conscious graduates. In the general consensus of New Yorkers, the Lincoln Center campus stands as a distinguished beacon of scholarly integrity, rightfully celebrated for its unique ability to provide a sophisticated, world-class education within a remarkably supportive and inclusive urban environment.

One of the best universities.. the best thing is that a full time student can opt for all evening classes and hence take the benefit of being with the class mates who are working on the street for many yeats & hence share their knowledge & yes the networking is always a plus.

Fordham misled me about my financial aid package last spring and I wound up homeless as a result. I’d advise anyone who relies on student loans to be very, very careful at this school. The student body, teachers, and political science program were all fantastic though.

I graduated in 1999 on the Lincoln Center stage from Fordham University with my masters degree and social work and I had been on that stage as a highschooler in chorus and it was a honor to be on that stage and an honor to be a proud Ram Fordham graduate. The people that celebrated me that day on that stage are now in heaven, Frank trocino senior and junior and sergeant James pier Vietnam but I still think of that rainy event with loves, missing them.. love you UofM and Seton Hall Frank Peters forever in the blue

Pros: Great location being near the middle of NYC,great professor with its small classroom sizes, friendly staff, and amazing dorms with no communal bathrooms. Cons: Fordham at Lincoln Center is basically high school 2.0 or a real-life episode of Victorious with its emphasis on Music and Arts. You even will find people singing in the middle of the hallways thinking they’re going to be the next Broadway star. The facilities and interior feel like a high school in the city with everything being in one building that hasn’t been renovated since the 60s. Very small gym with free weights only going up to 50 pounds (as a weightlifter that is embarrassing) and lackluster machines. Not to mention the division between the commuters and residents at LC is massive that there is no social interaction between the two. Every opportunity is given to the residents leaving commuters in the dust. There is a social hierarchy that is developed since the first day as well that makes me feel like I’m in high school again. Lack of clubs at the school. No student discount unlike John Jay (which is a CUNY only 3 blocks down )that has a student discount for some restaurants and even public transportation discount ( tours guides will say that broadway tickets are discounted for Fordham LC students that A LIE DO NOT BELIEVE THEM ) . Overall tuition isn’t justified at this school, but if you really want to attend Fordham, go to Rose Hill; it will give you 100 times better experience than Fordham at Lincoln Center. People dress like they’re going to a fashion show as well, as if it feels illegal to wear just a hoodie and sweatpants. Also, the food is bad as well. Horrible internet connection during peak hours that cost 500 dollars as part in the tuition

I did masters in social work at Fordham. The value you get here compared to other schools is questionable. I also had issues with administration, particularly their lack of flexibility and support. During my second-to-last semester, I had ACL surgery, which required me to be on crutches for four weeks. Due to my long subway commute, I requested to attend classes via Zoom for that period—especially since all classrooms were already equipped for remote access in the early post-COVID days. The director of disability services denied my request, stating my only option was to take a medical leave—meaning I would lose both my tuition and a semester’s worth of work—if I couldn’t attend in person. This lack of accommodation was both disappointing and frustrating

Loved my years here. Enjoyed taking the train from New Jersey. Fordham has Caring professors, lovely classmates and graduation at Lincoln Center. I'll never forget.
