Dinolingo

Honestly so shocked--I thought the kid's version would be great because of how popular Duolingo is. The program is just a mix of highly stimulating colors, really unnatural looking graphics, and don't even get me started on endless matching games and the videos which made even my brain want to short-circuit. The first lessons attempt to teach the names of SO many animals? What about starting with the very basics of Spanish--does my kid need to know the word for panda and rhinoceros before even teaching a simple way of how to say hi or greet someone? There are tons of resources (worksheets, games, etc) but nothing quality that I would even want to use. As an elementary teacher for many years and now homeschool mom, I didn't want my kids anywhere near this. I cancelled within the trial time, and as someone else mentioned I was still charged without ever even receiving an email (luckily I noticed a $199 charge on my credit card). I was surprised by the NO REFUNDS written all over the customer service page which just looked really tacky for a legit company. The customer service representative did email me back quickly but was very snarky and the email didn't include a name or company signature. All-in-all very unprofessional experience and do not recommend. P.S. I disputed the card with my credit card company and was able to get the money back quickly.

This company has no phone number or chat feature, and everything is done through email. Nothing in terms of customer service. I have emailed several times to resolve the issue that I have paid almost 300 bucks but cannot access what I have paid for. Honestly i want the access and service I paid for. All you get in terms of "help" is a no refunds policy that is plastered on every help page and article.

I love how DinoLingo has so many languages to choose from. My child is learning Chinese and he is progressing well. This program makes language learning simple and fun. I am very pleased with our experience.

My son absolutely loves it! He will sit there at repeat the words along with the DVD. It is a very well digitally animated series that has kept my sons attention. He loves the little dinosaurs and will ask to see the dinosaur Hebrew DVD. How do I know it is working? When we go outside and he says Mommy look a Kelev! (Which means dog in Hebrew) I knew this was a word he did not know previously to watching Dino Lingo. I have used the flashcards with him and guess what even mommy is learning a thing or two in Hebrew! Double blessing, I can learn along with my son. I recommend Dino Lingo for any language. Great DVD series!

A very cute language learning program for kids. My 6-year old just started Croatian school on the weekends. She knew nothing the first day. She has learned quite a bit in the last 4 weeks, and I credit a lot of it to her playing the Dino Lingo games almost every day in September. They are fun and she begs me to get on the computer to play everyday. I purchased the online package and it was such a good deal with the Fall promotion. The Dino videos are very cute as well - she dances around the house like Dino.

We recently moved to a Russian speaking country and I looked all over for a DVD based learning system. Dino Lingo had the best price and it great quality. My boys are {almost} 6 and 7. They enjoy watching the DVDs all the time. I do wish that either the book or posters had the words in English as well as Russian for me to be able to know what word they are representing. But they are learning numbers and colors rather quickly. The videos are silly and engaging but not annoying, which is super important for me! The songs and music is fun and catchy but also not annoying. I am happy with our purchase. But I will be looking for something more for my older son, like workbooks or something like that. It would be great if Dino Lingo had another level of learning.

I purchased this set a few months ago and it is amazing how much my kids (ages 3 & 7) have already learned. The DVDs teach the kids vocabulary as well as sentence structure in a fun and entertaining way. Some of the graphics are a little odd, but it entertains my kids so I guess it works! I would recommend Dino Lingo to anyone who wants their kids to begin learning a second language.
