I tried to call to the korean consul office so many times but only busy signals. If I could confirm with the Korean Consul's office whether they called me on a Saturday, I could have prevented my losses. I hope you restore the 646 phone number ASAP, so it will save other innocent Korean people.

I went there for my visa application. The building was open at 8:50 and the visa officers started their work at 9:00 AM. It was a smooth process and it only took me 15 minutes to finish my application. There are printers and computers ready just in case you need them.

I went there for tourist visa purpose. I am Bangladeshi citizen with green card residing in NY. The process was very smooth. I completed the application accordingly, took the documents listed( they don’t ask for a lots of things. Just the documents listed in requirements- like your passport, copy of it, proof of residence, 1 copy passport size photo and balance of 3000$. No flight booking/ accommodation booking/ itinerary needed. My appointment was at 2.30pm, they collected all my documents, collected the visa fee (40$- single entry). And within 3-4 mins i was done. They returned my passport and asked me to print the visa after a week. Very smooth, quick and hassle free service.

We just visited the New York Korean Consulate for some Visa forms. All went well, KyungHyun was very friendly and helpful. All the windows tellers worked fast to get us on our way.

Came here last week to get proof of a passport document name, I had to make an appt through their website online. No one picks up anymore, so if you want to visit, you will need to make an appt online, create user ID, and pw. They were very helpful once you're in the building. There is a security guard that you need to pass through to get in the door. Almost feels like you're at an airport. Our appt was for 10:30am but we were able to get everything done before that time. Thank God. We didn't have to wait either. The young lady was very helpful and polite. Thanks, but 4 stars because no one picks up the phone anymore or confirms your appt close to the date by email. Other than that, it was a pleasant visit.

I visited to renew my passport and was worried because of the many negative reviews I had seen. However, all of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They even called me the next morning to inform me about missing documents and kindly assisted with scheduling another appointment. I was so grateful for the exceptional service they provided. It was heartwarming to experience such friendly, Korean-style service abroad. Also, they offered free passport photos (you can attempt unlimited if the line is not so busy), and the quality was much better than the ones taken with old digital cameras at CVS or Staples. I was very satisfied! Thank you for all the help!

As a Korean, I’m incredibly proud of the workers at the Korean consulate. They work so efficiently and kindly, even during their lunch break, always going out of their way to help people. The person at the information desk, in particular, was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful.
