Montebello Community Adult School

Where do I start... I started attending MCAS in 2020 or 2021, I was about 36/37 years old. Let me tell you it was no easy task for me due to some set backs that I dealt with, I continued my journey and never gave up. The staff was super supportive, super helpful, and always available especially during every meltdown. Mrs. Villalobos, Ms. Kim, Mrs. Susino and Ms.Balderas were the greatest teachers a gal can ask for. The amount of encouragement and drive these teachers have on us students is incredible. To these councilors, goodness thank you for never allowing me to give up. I am beyond grateful to the staff here and I would definitely recommend this school and everyone looking to go back and finish their journey. All in all I FINALLY GRADUATED CLASS OF 2025👩🏻‍🎓

When I visited Montebello Community Adult School. I was welcomed by friendly staff. Maria and Lupe were kind and helpful. The campus was clean and everything was copacetic.

I'm so thankful with Mr. De Lorenzo, Norma and all the MCAS team for helping me achieved my high school diploma. It was such a beautiful experience being surrounded with them. I totally recommend this school.

This rating is for the communication between instructors/staff & prospective students. I was really interested in their CNA program and contacted the school, instructor, & the administrator on special assignment for 4 days straight with unsuccessful replies back. I got the usual "we'll email & call you with the details of the program" & never received anything for 4 days straight. What a shame, I was really excited to sign up for their CNA program. I understand that they're busy & that's why I only contacted them once a day but come on for 4 days straight?!?! Ya'll can do better!!

As a working adult, coming back to adult school was my choice. I wanted to finish my schooling and I encouraged my little cousin to come back and finish herself. We walk in and get set up with our contract after its all explain, this teacher tell me that she doesnt want me and my cousin to be disrespectful or disturb the class or shell have to kick us out of class. I was a little confused on why she said that as my little cousin and I didn't say a word when we walked in. On one occasion I left my wallet at home by accident. I asked if I could leave my car keys and check out the book. They say nope it has to be your cell phone. I explain that I cant leave my phone as I'm on call for work and if an emg happens I need to available. She said Nope it has to be a phone. So I had to leave. The next incident was when I ask for the test since I had finished my work and pretest. Surprise, none of my work was in my folder. Teacher said I can't give you the test if the other stuff hasn't been done. I said all my work should be there. You dont allow us to take our done work home so guys you lost it here, besides in order for me to do the pretest i would had finished my work. She kept telling me I need to do the work again. I said NO you lost my paperwork. After she realized I was right and that they misplaced my paperwork she pulls out a box of full of work that was complete. Guess , what my work was in there graded and all. After that I was done with this school. They treat you like you are a child. Teachers have this attitude like they are forced to be there. Any time you ask questions they seem bothered. It wasn't a good experience for me as a adult, however it did not discourage me on continuing my education. Eastlake adult school has 2 new students.

Amazingly nice staff. I can't say enough about how kind and helpful they are. If you're looking for anything education related as an adult that they offer don't hesitate to call or stop in.
