Naperville Chinese School

I was very happy to find this mandarin speaking school that teaches Traditional Chinese 繁體中文 when my family first settled in Naperville, IL. I heard lots of good praises about my kid’s teacher Ms Helen Wang, that she was trained professionally in the traditional Chinese Language Art from Taiwan and definitely brings quality education to her students! My kid always enjoying in 王老師Ms. Wang’s class and I sure appreciate what she has to offer. This is a community based nonprofit school with 40+ years history, which relying on parents’ volunteer work and additional support from sponsors in the local area. I hope to see Naperville Chinese School continue thrives so we can all benefit from this beautiful culture heritage and its delicious gourmet food! 🙂

As a Taiwanese immigrant and having learned traditional Chinese growing up, I looked hard for somewhere to send my kids. I came across Naperville Chinese School two years ago and the then-principal Jenny was gracious, generous with her time, and truly caring. The organization is largely volunteer-run (with qualified teachers of course) and reflects a close-knit community. My almost 5 year old tells me that he is excited to go to Chinese school every week, which is a big win in my book!

We love NCS! They really stand out by combining deep language immersion with a supportive atmosphere. The teachers here are genuinely passionate and caring, and the school provides tons of fun and interesting cultural activities (including delicious Taiwanese eats) that make learning Mandarin a rich and enjoyable experience. They also offer fun extracurricular activities!

Naperville Chinese School is dedicated to providing opportunities for community members to learn about Chinese language and culture. For children from Mandarin speaking families, they offer language classes with a curriculum for students from PreK through ninth grade. For children and adults with no background in Mandarin, they offer Chinese as a Foreign Language classes. They also offer a wide-range of extra-curricular activities including Chinese Dance, Martial Arts and Sports.
