Very talented professors that care about students and go beyond just teaching. Fair tuition cost. The executive leadership is actively involved.
I attended HACC first back in 2012. They took me back so many times as I was navigating where I wanted to go with my life/career. I graduated December 2024 with my ASN, RN. This school has been nothing but phenomenal. I've enjoyed the wild ride. The nursing program is excellent and the teachers are wonderful. I would choose this school again if I had to. Thankyou, HACC, so much for my education and for giving students like me a second chance at a better life! (P.S. Graduation and Pinning were SO much fun). Kristina, RN
After moving on to another school after getting my A.S, it's soo clear how much most of their courses lack the same depth compared to those at other schools. Some professors aren't great but Dr. Kelly Matthews for Chem/Ochem was by far my favorite during my time there. 10/10 recommend him
HACC was the best choice I made when coming to school. In my first year I became a student worker, received awards, and was feeling confident about my schooling. Security makes the campus super safe and friendly. HACC has so much networking and has allowed me to receive an entry level position in my professional field. I am currently working part time as an actual HACC employee now after being a student worker for almost 2 years. There is room for growth in both education and employment. The HACC faculty/staff family is what keeps me going. Everyone in the Welcome Center is warm and caring. Financial aid is quick and efficient with everything they do. The advisors personally walk to other departments to find answers for their student's questions. The admissions are so helpful for new incoming students and current students. I can honestly only see I have only ever had one negative experience with processors and I've been here for 3 years. Even the Footnotes Cafe and Subway employees are warm and welcoming to all the students. It is definitely a place to be and a place to grow. I have recommended and assisted several friends with getting into school. And I will continue to recommend students to start here before paying more at the local 4 year schools in the general area!
HACC is a great school. It helps prepare you for future education. It is great for learners at all stages and ages. It is refreshing to have a place with Academia that has focus on the community and students. So many University and other colleges have their head stuck up their own academic snobbery. You are treated here like a human being. If you want a small college that makes you feel like a person, been out of school and want to come back, or want a career change this place is for you. Immigrant and minority friendly. Good education for a good price that lays down a good foundation. I graduated then went to Millersville and I tell HACC is way better!!
I'm impressed with all this school offers and the quality of the education and facilities at the Lancaster campus. It seems like such a safe, friendly, clean campus with everything you need for a good experience. It's terrific how the credits can transfer and you can save a ton on your college costs by going to HACC.
I graduated from HACC Lancaster with my degree in Business Management. I had a fantastic experience and would recommend the school to anyone. Professor Neff and Professor Ulmer were incredible in the Business Department. My advisor was an amazing lady but she also taught classes on top of advising. The campus is safe and welcoming. Out of my tenure here, I had maybe 1-2 instructors I didn’t care for. I now work in my field of study (Human Resources) and also transferred to PSU. All of my credits transferred easily. PSA: ALWAYS START COLLEGE AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. You will save thousands. No one will care where you started school, they care where you end.
