Recommend live courses as well as self-paced. Highly academic, and provides great instruction. Teachers are responsive and nearly all of them are kind and loving to students.

Our family has completed the three self-paced Bible courses, all of the self paced elementary history courses and tried part of one of the omnibus courses so far. We are thrilled with the content. I do recommend completing the reading that is assigned with each of the history courses, and for upper elementary, you may want to start adding a few short answer questions to the tests, as the format of the course tests are multiple choice. I hope that we will be able to complete all of their jr and high school self-paced courses as well. I do wish they would produce self-paced courses for their remaining 2 Bible courses!

We absolutely love our Veritas Press Self-Paced Courses! We have completed 11 courses (Bible, History, Omnibus) over the last six years. We've found every class to be interesting and academically challenging. Additionally, each class has challenged my child to think critically. leaving them inspired to live out a Biblical Worldview. Next week, I will start my youngest child on her first VP classes. She couldn't be more excited. Let me share with you a few pieces of advice: 1. Look for the sales on the self-paced course. Don't worry about timing, as VP is kind enough to let you set the start date. 2. Watch with your kiddo if possible. I've found the content to be a blessing to adults and children alike! 3. When it comes to Omnibus, make sure to reach out to other parents ahead of you. Some of the books have 'mature content' that you may want to review or edit out before you read it out-loud in front of your littles or send your child to their room to read alone. As the parent you know your child best and with advanced notification you can make the best choice for your particular student. Having said that, if you feel your child/student is ready for the mature content, please know the teachers interact with the mature content in a godly fashion and help students to critically think about Biblical Worldview. I believe this is crucial to the maturation of our children in their walk with Christ. I would give VP 5 starts if they would present the self-paced parents with the same heads-up email/letter on Omnibus mature content (with alternatives) that they provide the live in person students. If they would change that one little thing, my review would be a solid 5 stars. 🙂 I would be happy to change this review if that happens.

We have used both the Self-Paced History classes and Omnibus for the past 12 years. These classes are engaging and solid and challenge students to think critically. We come back year after year!

My 6 & 9 year olds worked on the Explorers through 1815 self-paced course and absolutely loved it! They learned A TON! However, we aren't going to be continuing with Veritas Press because it required 9 months of DAILY lessons every single week, and that's just way too much history that didn't leave time for us to supplement with any other sort of resources, or other subjects for that matter. What's more, my kids loved the two hosts of their course, and when we looked at the samples of the other courses they might've taken, the hosts were different and the kids had gotten attached to the ones from their first course. Depending on your goals, I think it's a great curriculum though.

Our favorite course of all our homeschool courses has been the Veritas Press Middle Ages, Renaisance and Reformation self-paced history course!
