Sur La Table

It couldn’t have been worse. friends and kids hated it. Food terrible, zero customer service skills, sharing space and not seeing the front of a classroom or even hearing instructions(then getting snarky responses when we asked) "homemade" coming out of an unopened store bought jar, customer service didn’t care on multiple levels. The store owner seemed somewhat interested in what I shared but that’s it. They don’t care to make things right for the sake of a small dollar, but word of mouth goes really far. Kid begged me to never go back. Jax cooking studio and even French Pantry offer huge portions classes with the nicest humans you will ever meet at a great price point. Was assured a class was one fee the forced to pay over halfway through more money. You’ll get bigger samples at Costco than the full portions you take home here, but the awful memories and disrespectful management stay with you for eternity. Chef Dewayne and Chef Juann gave us a great class. I enjoyed learning how to make gnocchi. The class size was perfect and allowed for a lot of hands on help from the chefs. My only criticism is I would have preferred to enjoy my meal seated with the other class participants. I’ve taken many cooking classes and the meal afterwards is my favorite part of a class. I’m looking forward to the other classes that I am signed up for.

My experience participating in the cooking class here was awesome!!! Everyone, from the chefs to the store staff were so welcoming, helpful and nice. The food was also amazing. I love the variety of classes that are offered. My husband and I went and we will definitely be returning.

We had an amazing experience for our first time doing the cooking class at Sur La Table! The chef was really engaging and enthusiastic. He made the class both fun and educational. The dinner itself was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Had such a wonderful time with Chef Diane taking her holiday macaron class. She is incredibly knowledgeable and such a patient, encouraging teacher. Our macarons tasted delicious and turned out beautifully—despite the Florida humidity!

Class was a lot of fun. Learned a couple things as a seasoned cooker. Some class items weren’t prepared or ready ahead of time. Cooking teams are in pairs of 2 with four people per station. If you have an odd number in your group you’ll have to pair with another. Recommend even group numbers. It’s offered to bring wine but wine glasses aren’t available - you’ll be drinking your wine out of water glasses of various sizes. Overall had a great time. Will do again with some modifications.

We did the Best of Italy with Chef Olivier. He was amazing! Very nice, great knowledge, explained every part of the cooking process thoroughly. He made it very fun. We will definitely be back for another class soon!
