Lepard's Hapkido

I first studied Hapkido when I was in college, about 25 years ago, and loved it. Since then, I have been unable to find a dojo where I felt comfortable restarting my study. I joined Lepard’s Hapkido about 6 months ago and found that Master Lepard teaches in a style that is both safe and encouraging while still challenging the students to push their comfort zones. I have immensely enjoyed the training and would encourage anyone with interest to try a class.

I cannot say enough good things about this Hapkido school. As a female college student, it's important to be able to recognize a bad situation before it happens. I have been practicing Hapkido at this school for about six months, and I am getting more and more confident in my ability to defend myself and/or others should I ever need to. I appreciate the "realness" and practicality that Hapkido offers, and I feel as though both of those things are focal points at this school. A nice added bonus is the relaxation/meditation aspect that helps with focusing in school/life in general. Great class atmosphere, super welcoming, I never feel uncomfortable, and I am treated with respect. Highly recommend.

Learning Hapkido with Master Lepard has changed my life! I was inspired to try Hapkido as a form of exercise and found a home, a community, a practice that I love, and an education in self defense. I have MS and haven’t been able to do any form of exercise in over four years. I was very nervous to try Hapkido, but something in me knew it would be life changing. From the moment I walked in, I was met with kind, warm-hearted classmates and could tell that Master Lepard has created a beautiful atmosphere for learning. While we all strive learn more, it isn’t a competitive environment. Everyone is welcome, no matter what level of athleticism or experience. I have found an activity that I am able to do, and that I absolutely love doing. I so look forward to class and am excited by all that I am learning. Master Lepard is someone who clearly knows Hapkido and excels at teaching it. Classes are filled with strength training, flexibility, technique, combinations, and a wonderful dose of fun and laughter. He is very encouraging and takes time to make sure everyone feels welcome and is able to succeed. While I was an athlete all my life, having MS made me think that part of my life was over for good. Thanks to Master Lepard and Hapkido, I have been given a chance to re-awaken the athlete inside of me, I have developed hope for the future, and I have gained a discipline that I am passionate about learning. I encourage you to take a trial class like I did. It could change your life, too.
