Mountain States International Black Belt Academy

A year ago, I walked in with my little boy in hopes to strengthen his little heart, we had been struggling for a while with over sensitivity. It was affecting his ability to make friends, to stick up for himself and to just go for it. Fast forward to now, my son is willing to take risks and is confident in making decisions and standing up for himself but also others. I love that they know my son by name, and that they welcome him every time he’s there. Sometimes we come straight from school and have a quick lunch in the car but we always try to make it! We are almost a tiger, it’s crazy how time flies! I’m so grateful for this place, and no matter what, we will always make room in our budget to continue with IBBA. 💖

Our two kiddos have benefited so much from karate at Mountain States; our quiet daughter is gaining confidence while working with others, and our fierce son learns to channel his energy for good. The staff is fantastic - encouraging, organized, and flexible. They knew our kids’ names (and ours) after the first time we walked in the door. I’ve not encountered any business that is as enjoyable to work with than Mountain States!

My granddaughter was getting bullied at school and even roughed up by her older sister at home... This place really really teaches the kids how to defend themselves in real situations when they aren't left with options other than getting beat up or degraded. She still is fearful at times but only for a second. The instructors know each student by name and I feel so comfortable sharing her life and struggles with staff. Loyalty and love. Worth every penny spent. Life changer for any child.

They just don't teach kempo,they care about the students like they are family! More than family!They install self confidence in all students! There is not one negative thing about IBBA

They have taught my child when to defend himself. Focus. Listening. It has transformed him in many ways. He has made so many friends and a bond with the instructors. He is so excited to go. Granted, he is a typical 5 year old, so not every day is sunshine and rainbows, but it's a great place to try out. 😀

This is a beautiful studio and very clean. We came for a special event that was hosted by this studio. Very impressed with changing rooms, clean bathrooms, cubbies and seating for parents. Fresh air came through in a cross breeze which was really great for the participants and everyone watching. The owner really cares for his studio and his students, it’s apparent.
