This was not, "Irish" food! Shepard’s pie was a thin stew/soup topped with mash potatoes but very watery. Which I might have let pass, but, the Guiness stew was the same stew/soup base as the shepards pie. Loaded with peas and carrots and not a dark Guiness base with mostly meat and potatoes. Obviously not one chef here has been to Dublin or Ireland for that matter. Where is the dark stew with just meat and potatoes. The tast was not horrible but they used the same stew/soup for all the dishes. Loaded with carrots and peas but not traditional. On the good side. Ambiance was amazing. If I owned an Irish bar/retaurant, I’d copy it. Staff has amazing! Sweet and friendly and knew their business. But I don’t go out just for the survice, I go for the food primarily. The food was VERY VERY dissapointing. GET A NEW CHEF AND MAKE IT 5 stars! Too easy.

We were wandering downtown Grand Junction looking for somewhere to eat. We popped into one place and the hostess was rude and they didn't have a kids menu so we kept going. Next street down was the Goat and Clover Tavern. The hostess came out while we were perusing the menu, greeting the children first with a big smile and asking how they were. She asked if we wanted to sit outside which we did and when the waitress came out with our waters, she brought along a clean water bowl freshly filled for my little dog. Everything on the menu looked fresh and delicious, it took a few minutes to decide what we wanted. It was challenging to try and choose just one item so we ended up sharing a few. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, a huge hit with the kids! The biscuits and gravy was served with some kind of seasoned potatoes and eggs. If you're local, you know all about Randy's biscuits and gravy and this was the same category of deliciousness! Our salads had just the right amount of greens, protein, and veggies. The portions were large enough to where we all had seconds later on that evening. Inside looked like a fun place to be to watch a football game or meet friends for a drink after work. Everything from the bar to the bathrooms, was spotlessly clean, well organized and the staff were friendly and polite. It has been a while since we experienced that kind of care and excellence in a restaurant. This staff genuinely appreciated their place of employment and cared about their customers. Looking forward to the next time we head downtown for lunch, as we will head straight to The Goat and Clover tavern!

Authentic Irish bar with Irish style food. Unlike many American bars cosplaying as an Irish Pub, they have Bangers N Mash, Shepards Pie, etc. Food is fantastic, the vibe is what you'd expect for an Irish Pub with outdoor seating available. The staff was friendly. Overall great place for good comfort food. Don't know if they show soccer or rugby games but that would really make it over the top of it did.

The food here is sooo good. We got the Irish egg rolls, fish & chips, and Mac n cheese.. the bartender suggested putting bacon and japs in the mac which honestly made it. It was so perfect my husband and I are still thinking about it. Definitely going back here

My partner's brother brought us here for a fun dinner downtown. It didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect. Great music playing and it didn't drown out all our talking. Service was amazing! The food was so good and looked awesome in a skillet. I got the corn beef meal and it was incredible... The potatoes were flavorful and creamy and the corn beef was on point flavor wise. Very cute place to hang out with good friends for good food!

We sat on the outdoor patio. There was a pleasant breeze which added to the ambiance. Pretty well patronized, host wasted no time in seating us. They have a large selection of draft beer which folks are sure to enjoy; we stuck to Guinness though. We stuck to the basics when it came to food: the Tavern burger and the fish and chips. It took the Server a little time yo get to us, about 15 minutes but when Angel did it was really quick, we put our order in, and had our drinks and food out really quick. PS: I did ask for the Tomato to be removed from my burger but I didn’t mind it too much when I did get the burger with THE Tomato 🥲. Regardless food was good.

Cute atmosphere. Good service. Food was ok. The Irish stew was way too thickened and felt like I was eating meat pudding. It tasted good, but it was way too thick for me. I had the potato appetizers that were good. The dipping sauce was good. I think if I had ordered something else, I would have had a better food experience. I would try the fish and chips if I ever go back. That looked delicious. Nice server and fast service.
