Lone Star College Montgomery

Worst college I have ever been to. Some of the Employees are hardly any help at all. I had to return last year May 2025 from my graduation, wasteful of my time and I have been waiting weeks and months on my degree. And it took a long while for my issues to get fixed so I can finally get my degree which I am still waiting on it unfortunately. No consistency and the whole environment is sterile and gloomy, and bad for anyone’s mental health. I suggest taking all of your courses online and being extra aware of your counselors, speak up if something isn’t right with your situation as a student here. Counselors aren’t helpful either or even care to go out of their way to actually help you. Lone Star College seems to take advantage of students like me. The staff lack genuine character and morale. How many students REALLY graduated?! I waited almost a year after I graduated to receive my diploma only to still not receive it yet!!! I have had nervous and emotional breakdown due to all this nonsensical conundrum repeatedly. This has gone way too far and long, frankly I had enough with all of it!!! The people working here are insincere and FAKE!!!

I would not recommend this college to anyone. The staff does not care they aren't helpful at all. I was a student here back in 2011 and 2012. The professor don't like you they will make you're life a living hell for you not to succeed. Penn Foster has way better options then this joke off college. The one staff is for the advisor Tarra who was knowledgeable about what she was talking about but that was a decade ago I don't think no longer works at this college. Everything in the reviews it's true. Other advisors do not want to help you. They get annoyed when students ask questions. There was this professor in particular who hated me playing favorite her names is Ms. Molholand can't remember much since this took place back in September 2011. I was young 19 years old had dreams to become successful. Now I am a business woman making sales in fashion industry owning a Wedding dress boutique. I did earn my bachelor's degree in Business Management threw Penn Foster but I don't used it. What in glad about this I am not married to a student loan. Yes this place is a joke and a waste of time and money. They sure where very happy and helpful to take my money during the time when I was making little money working at Kroger. You will make more money in owning a business. The one star is only for Tarra but the rest of this place and professors especially that Molholand lady get a big fat cerro 0. This college is the definition of horrific!

For a community college, incredibly well-kept and accommodating. Filled with comfort and aesthetic-oriented design choices and supportive staff. Large campus, but easy to follow directions.

My son had difficulties in establishing his Texas residency status. We had made three trips to the admissions office but never resolved it. Apparently the fact that my son is a US citizen was overlooked. Thankfully after meeting Ms Flores we were able to resolve the issue in under 30 minutes. Ms Flores was very attentive and helped my son every step of the way. Thank you for the good customer service.

I just want to take a moment to recognize how incredible Nancy Ilfrey is as an advisor. As a full-time student at Texas A&M, I've had a few different advisors during my time here, and Nancy has truly stood out as the most supportive and effective. She is kind, approachable, and—most importantly—she gets things done. I had an issue with a Math Core class that had caused me quite a bit of stress, and Nancy never once left me feeling like I was handling it alone. She consistently followed up, provided clear guidance, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. In contrast to past advising experiences that felt impersonal or unhelpful, Nancy has been a breath of fresh air. Her dedication and compassion make a real difference, and I’m genuinely grateful for all the support she’s given me.

Professors are nice and helpful. Students are a little antisocial (think of it has highschool 2.0) but the college has really done a good job renovating the campus

Do not trust these people! I told a counselor about a conversation I overheard in the bathroom at home and she called CPS saying that there was an eyewitness, living at my residence, that saw my younger siblings having sex in the shower. Which is not even remotely close to what was talked about. CPS said that the accusation came from Loan Star College, so naturally since I'm the only college student my family assumed it was me! I was kicked out of my house! I lost the opportunity to go to college, because i cant afford a place to live and pay for college at the same time! My family refused to see or speak to me! I was not allowed to come to my father's funeral and now they are asking me to give up my rights to my inheritance. I tried emailing the board about the counselor's behavior but nothing was done! No amends have been made! Not so much as an apology letter! What kind of sick woman needs such an endorphin high that she has to twist a story to ruin lives?!
