Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy Chicago

Master Jang has been an amazing instructor and supports all of his students. As an adult student, my work schedule can be very chaotic and Master Jang has been understanding and patient and has done everything he could to support my journey in acheiving my black belt (two more belts!). I see the care and nurturing he has for his young students as well, while teaching them life lessons and discipline. I highly recommend him and the Woori.

Such a great place for our kid for physical and emotional development. Master Jang is consistently friendly, teaches discipline and how to use your body, remembers everyone's name and abilities. Class times are convenient for after school or the weekend. In addition to earning belts there are also colored tapes to earn for smaller achievements to keep kids motivated. An overwhelmingly positive experience.

Our daughter (6 yrs old) attends this class and it is fantastic! Master Jang is great with keeping the little kids engaged, our daughter has made great progress and loves attending! Would recommend for any age!

Training taekwondo here has been an amazing experience. My instructor explains everything clearly, motivates you with respect, and truly cares about your progress. His fun personality makes every class enjoyable and keeps the training atmosphere positive and engaging. As an adult I’ve improved my strength, stability, coordination, and confidence thanks to his teaching style. Highly recommended for anyone looking to grow both physically and mentally. 🥋

Our 5 year old absolutely loves Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy. He looks forward to it twice a week. Senior Master Jang is a patient and excellent instructor. You can tell he cares deeply about the practice and the kids. We highly recommend this place.

We've been here learning taekwondo over 4 years. The teacher here is a super professional Taekwondo master. He is a nice and humorous person, so kids like him. We love this school and will keep to learn here.

Woori is more than a Taekwondo academy, we are a family. I have four daughters, and three are black belts. I enjoy their journey and I continue to be excited of what they will continue to learn and persevere. Master Jang is an amazing master; he is patient, kind, understanding but overall passionate. He believes in all his students and teaches them discipline, respect, confidence, focus skills and empowers them to be the best and do their best.
