The Chopping Block

We’ve taken classes before at The Chopping Block but this is the first time we’ve done the Thanksgiving Bootcamp! Such a wonderful way to spend a Saturday! Wonderful hands-on instruction on an incredible menu. Our instructors were tremendous (and very patient)… would highly recommend as a date or a group activity! Plenty of food to bring home too…

I just finished Culinary Bootcamp I at The Chopping Block, and I’m honestly so glad I signed up. The entire week was hands-on, well-paced, and packed with skills I’ll actually use. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and great at breaking things down in a way that made everything click. I walked in feeling unsure about a lot of techniques and left feeling genuinely confident in the kitchen. Lisa, the owner, clearly puts a lot of thought into how this place runs. The class flowed smoothly every day, the space is beautiful and well-organized, and the quality of ingredients and instruction is consistently high. You can tell she really cares about creating a great learning environment. I had such a great time that I’m already looking at future classes. If you’re thinking about taking the bootcamp—do it. It’s absolutely worth it.

We did the French Bistro Cooking Class last night. Super fun and the food we cooked was delicious! Our instructors were friendly, fun, and informative. Would highly recommend to anyone- would be a really fun date night. They have a good selection of nice wines that are fairly priced and will cork for you to take home if you don’t finish the bottle.

I am not sure where to begin singing praises for Culinary Boot Camp I. I learned so much from every Chef and CA and cooked alongside an amazing group of people from around the country. The classes were so well organized and so much fun. I’ll wrap up by saying that this past year, I was finally able to retire and I treated myself to 3 trips: European Christmas Markets tour, Amalfi Coast, and The Chopping Block. And Culinary Boot Camp was my favorite, hands down!

I just finished the Culinary Bootcamp I at The Chopping Block a few days ago. It far exceeded my expectations! The trainers are not only seasoned chefs, but are great trainers. The other staff are also very knowledgeable cooks. I came out of the program knowing and being able to do much more than when I went in, and certainly more than I thought I might, and I had a lot of fun in the process. If you want to be a better cook, take this program!

Our family had such a great time cooking an Italian meal with Nolan and the team, who were knowledgeable. The setup so charming, organized and clean. My 14 and 19 year old learned a lot. Me too!!

Chef David was full of advice and great information about bread baking. Enjoyed the experience. Kudos to Jessica his assistant that kept the whole process moving and appears to have collaborated well with David. Great team.
