I am a proud alumna having graduated in 2016.I had the best of both worlds! A stellar world class education and an amazing social life with a great group of lifelong friends! I will never forget my undergraduate experience at U of I and highly reccommend!! ILLINI FOREVER!!

The University of Illinois campus is beautiful, especially Japan House with its serene Japanese garden. I’ve also been studying digital marketing through Coursera, which has been very meaningful. This university is truly amazing!

As a parent, it’s that time when we help our children make decisions about the next phase of their lives. For me, sending my child off to college at UIUC was one of the most emotional moments. On the first day, I couldn’t help but cry as I left her on campus, much like I did when I dropped her off at kindergarten. The feeling of letting go is never easy, but looking back, I can say with certainty that UIUC was a wonderful choice for her. From the very beginning, the campus and community have offered incredible support and opportunities. The professors and lecturers are amazing—engaging and truly invested in their students’ success. There’s always academic help available, whether it’s through tutoring, office hours, or student groups that offer additional support. I was always impressed by how approachable and willing the faculty were to help students succeed. What stands out most, though, is the sense of safety and care on campus. There’s always someone available to help, even late at night, whether you’re walking around and need assistance or have a concern. UIUC truly seems committed to the well-being of all its students. For those of you wondering about religious and cultural connections, there is a Hindu temple just 10 minutes away from campus, providing a sense of community and belonging for students who want that connection. To other parents considering sending their child to UIUC, I want to assure you—it’s a fantastic campus. Don’t worry. The support, education, and experiences your child will have are priceless. You can rest easy knowing they’re in good hands!

I was in UIUC to see off my Nephew. The university campus is humongous . The college buildings are awesome , transport system within the university is great(sometimes it takes a long time), there are dedicated bike lanes and accessibility access almost all places they boast the biggest engineering library . The orientation program was good and informative, people seem efficient and I am sure teaching staff is also great There are quite a few frat houses and student quarters around the university The restaurant selection is great and the university also has multiple on campus food court, and surprisingly have a lot of good vegetarian options as well Students who really want to learn well can do wonders. Great place to study and enjoy

Education-wise, it is a good university, but socially, it is a disaster. Far away from everything, and Champaign and Urbana are small cities. There are quite a few opportunities here. If you don't want to study in the cornfields, I suggest you choose a different university.

I am not happy at all with the experience. My impression was the faculty genuinely don't care about the students. They are happy to bully students and fail to provide a reference following graduation. A total waste of time and resources.

Absolutely amazing as always! Was on campus for the football game against northwestern in the snow. It was an incredible experience! Loved it! 🧡💙
