Champaign Public Library - Douglass Branch

I want to start off by saying that I LOVE libraries! Go to your local library and get yourself a card! They have so many great services and the books are pretty great too! However, I tried to check out this library with my sons and the entire place smelled of bleach. It truly smelled like someone spilled a bottle in or near the bathroom. Then, after watching me and my sons settle in and pull out some toys, i was told to leave because my 1 year old (who just started walking) was not wearing shoes. I wasn't planning on staying long due to the smell, but I felt very unwelcome and the librarians were pretty rude about the whole thing. Parking is also confusing and the library itself is extremely small. If you are looking for a great library to take the kids, I suggest the Urbana Free Library! It is by FAR our favorite!!!
