My server, Wasinphat was very kind, polite, and attentive. The food was unbelievably good. I loved the relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Watching the chefs prepare my sushi with such diligence was very special to me. All of my food was spectacular, my favorite was the salmon harami nigiri and the zusai gani nigiri piece my server recommended. I highly recommend KANE if you’re looking for a relaxed, high-end sushi restaurant.

I have served great sushi three different times in my career. The owner told me trick is not to much rice. Well, this sushi is a whole other level of great taste. Super fresh and melt in your mouth good. Loved the atmosphere. Had no idea it was reservation only but they accepted us as walk ins and then convinced me that having a hyper toddler was fine and brought him some miso soup. He thought was cheese so everyone was able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Very nice people. Great service. Amazing sushi. Highly recommend!

We love this place. This restaurant is the best sushi place in Austin area. The food is always good, and the service is the best!! Thy recently added dry-aged sushi menu, and I love it! I've done both omakase and a la carte at this place. Both were really good.

After visiting this place, it definitely became my favorite sushi place in Austin! 🍣 Everything from start to finish was perfect (ambiance, hot towels, service). The food was phenomenal, the fish is really fresh, and the flavors are delicious. I can't wait to come back!

Husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and it was delicious! From the outside, it’s so inconspicuous but once you’re inside, it’s a whole different atmosphere. The space is cozy and seating is very comfortable, with plenty of space between tables. We got sat at the bar and it was like having dinner with entertainment. Sushi was extremely fresh and made right in front of you. Service is fast and the staff is attentive to your every need. Definitely an experience worth having!!

Me and my husband came here for our anniversary, I booked a reservation like 3-2 days in advance a reservation is required since space is limited. We were greeted with a warm welcome, I had requested a booth but since tables and space is limited they use the booths for 4 people or more since the booths are pretty spacious. We were sat a table next to the bar we also received some warm/hot towels for our hands which I thought was nice, I loved the seating watching the chefs put plates together and working it was a really nice experience. We got some shrimp tempura as an appetizer but we got our Makimono and K.T. Special before our appetizer which was fine cause we were hungry, the lion king Makimono was absolutely delicious wow nothing like I’ve ever tasted; the K.T. Special was good just not what I expected it was kind of hard for us to pick with chopsticks but we managed. Me and my husband decided to try some Nigiri/sashimi we got the king salmon it was our first time trying this type of sushi and we loved it! Everything paired well with our sake, our waiter was super nice and helpful we had a really good time/anniversary dinner. Thank you all for all your hard work, we will definitely be back to bring some friends cause we were telling them about it and they were intrigued to also try it. This place is definitely good for a date or anniversary like I mentioned this place is pretty small, so don’t really recommend for parties of 6 or more maybe not even 6 but would definitely call them to double check.

This place is absolutely charming and feels very authentic from the moment you walk in. They offer traditional Japanese-style seating booths as well as stand-alone tables, so you can choose whichever experience you prefer. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot whether you’re out with friends or on a casual date. The food was phenomenal. The aburi is a definite must-try — so good that after tasting the Butterfish, we immediately ordered the Salmon as well, and both were outstanding. Another highlight was the Volcano 26 roll, which was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. And you can finish off with layer cake. What really stood out is that for the quality and presentation, the prices are very reasonable — truly great value for money. Overall, if you’re in the neighborhood, this is a spot you should not miss. You’ll leave satisfied and probably planning your next visit!
