The momos, fried green beans, ramen, and sushi are all excellent, each dish bursting with flavor. This spot blends Japanese and Nepali influences beautifully, and the prices make it an easy go-to for great fusion food. We’ve been eating here quarterly since they opened, and they never disappoint. I recommend arriving when they first open to secure a table.

Delicious!! I stopped here for dinner while visiting from out of town and was pleasantly surprised. We were lucky enough to stop in on a Saturday night and be seated immediately since it was just us 2. The dumplings and bao buns were phenomenal and the sushi was perfect.

Wednesday December 17, 2025 at 6pm. Busy, noisy, with a sleek design layout. The bar is along the left wall, seating is along the right wall, and the sushi bar takes up a square shape of the building. The chairs don't have backs so it was like sitting on a wide stool with a lip on it. There are two single user bathrooms, with plenty of space to move around. It was loud and busy, it's a "hip" atmosphere. My waitress took my drink order, delivered my tea while I was in the restroom, came back to take my meal order, and I didn't see her again until after my food was delivered (about 25 LONG minutes). She checked on me a few minutes after that and was pretty quick with my requests for the check and a to-go box. Although, I sat at the sushi bar, not a single member of that staff spoke to any of the customers. Not so much as a "Hi there." That was a different experience. Overall, it was an ok experience but I should try them on a less busy day.

A very inviting decor and ambiance, however the food execution fell flat. The nigiri (salmon, hamachi, tuna, and red snapper) was grocery store quality at best. The nigiri fish had a non-descript flavor profile and the rice lacked texture and depth. The "ramen" had a very linear flavor profile and lacked overall depth of flavor. The highlight for me was the Ground Turkey Momos (steamed Nepalese dumplings) and The Imperial Cocktail (Suntory Toki, citrus-ginger simple syrup, and orange bitters).

This place is so good, I’m reviewing it while I’m still here and actively finishing my meal No complaints, only praise: amazing service, impeccable food, great ambience. You can really tell that everyone from management, to servers and chefs, really care; it’s so impressive and adds to the experience We recommend the new moon and the flight for sure!

This place is incredible! The kankitsu is the best roll I’ve ever had! It has a complex flavor and is incredibly fresh. The service was also too tier. Would recommend this place to anyone!

The best sushi in Birmingham, hands down! Gluten free menu available. You cannot have a bad time here! We often put our names down and grab a cocktail down the street if there is a wait- so always makes for a fun date night! Great to come with 4 people but have also made it with a bigger group! Tables can be accommodating for more- jusy may have to wait- will be worth it!
