Aysha was set to do a braidset on my hair. She informed me that she didnt have much experience in cornrows and even asked her instructor to find someoneto aide her. She patiently and gently blow dried my hair as she waited for someone to be free. No one came and she finished the blow dry.' She told me she would try, i said 'OK, go for it.' She was surprised I didnt request someone else. As she braided, her face was intent. I could tell she was focused. Guess what?? SHE DID THAT!! Hun braided those cornrows like a pro. The confidence she gained in herself was truly rewarding. Thank you Aysha. Graduation next month 3/26!! You earned it boo.
I hated my experience at Aveda hair school. I was treated horribly. I left without my hair done. I came in for a simple wash and braid down. First thing, when I came in no customer was there yet waiting but me and a gentleman with his sons. Right afterwards he and I sat down they came and got his son. Then other people started to come in after that. Do you know they came and got everyone of those people before me. Two more customers came afterwards and they even took them before me. I texted my daughters that I didn’t think anyone wanted to do my hair. This had me feeling so uncomfortable. Finally a young lady came to get me. She asked what I was getting and I told her a wash and simple braid down cause I was going to put a wig on. She sat me down and started to comb out my ponytail. She left and came back cause someone called her. Once she got back the lady with the clipboard came to ask what I was getting and the young lady told her. She said I was getting 2 different services because after she washed my hair she would have to blow dry it and braid it. So that would be $40 instead of the $25. Then I said why $40 when I was quoted $25? The young lady that was going to braid my hair asked her why also. "Don’t you have to blow dry hair after it’s been washed I was thinking. I was not getting some elaborate braids just a braid. I still remained calm although feeling shamed in front of all the others who surrounded me. I told her well I’ll just get it washed. She said $20 and are you sure? I said yeah I’m sure. Then she says well you can get the wash and braids today for $25 but next time it’ll be more. After that I declined the service and asked the young lady that was going to do the service to take the apron from off me, politely. I remained calm and polite the entire encounter but I felt attacked and embarrassed. $40 wasn’t the issue it was an overall experience. The way I sat in the waiting area before 7 or 8 customers came in. And how they took all of them before me. How I waited feeling like no one wanted to touch me or my hair. My encounter with the young lady who was going to do my hair was good but the rest of my experience was so horrible. I will never ever visit this place again. If I hear someone else speak of this place I will tell them my experience. I will highly recommend them to go somewhere else.
Thank you Sabrina from California!! for stepping in and educating me about other options for my uneven hair (protective hairstyles). I enjoyed the wash, I really love the braids! I also want to say thank you to the entire staff for your welcoming speedy service, especially the ladies who showed me the makeup options. Photos snapped 1 1/2 later & I slept on them, but they are/were slick hunny! No edges left behind. 🙂
My experience at aveda was amazing, Cailyn Runnels gave me a good trim followed by an amazing blow out. The entire experience was relaxing, and the quality of the products were luxurious. I would recommend anyone who needs a little tlc, to come visit Cailyn at aveda. Looking forward to repeating this experience again!
ally was my stylist for the day & she was very enthusiastic & friendly. I got my hair changed from pink to blonde & the change was a struggle but the teacher ms. rhonda was amazing & helped get rid of alot of the pink. the atmosphere was amazing as well as the outcome. they just need to work on speed.
only $25 for a silk press. I love it and it was good vibes there! definitely coming back
Do not come here Harley specifically should not be around anyone’s hair she needs to chose a new profession the instructors were very helpful in trying to fix Harley’s mess but it was not saveable and will take many years to get back to what it once was Harley has single handedly ruined my mental health
