I had a really great experience with Mr. Yamaguchi, this amazing hairstylist and salon owner, and I’m very happy with my haircut. From the moment we met, Mr. Yamaguchi shared his creative vision and his unique perspective on hair, energy, and personal style, which made the appointment feel very different from a typical salon visit. He took the time to get to know me and what I was drawn to, and he respected my two main requests (no bangs and no sideburns), which I really appreciated. His approach is very intuitive and vision-based, and the final result was so amazing and I left feeling refreshed and confident. I first came to Billy Yamaguchi over 3 decades ago. After losing and rebuilding our home after the Thomas Fire, taking care of and losing both of my parents, scattering their ashes last week… I listened to my intuition and made an appointment to return here in Ventura. I was open to his feelings and ideas of color and cut. I was happy he loved my natural hair color (gray) and his stylish cut has me feeling more like myself than I have for years!🫶🏻 While I realize the $ amount may be much for some…. I will say the investment in yourself is worth it. His Feng Shui and very personal approach, deep conversation, connection is beyond anything I expected. I have a beautiful "new do", but left with more after our time together. I feel like my outside reflects what is most important- my inside beauty and gifts. I experienced a better understanding of creating an inner balance of happiness and worth emotionally/physically/spiritually. He is a genius with hair, and also a wonderful human being. So happy I listened to my intuition. I walked away happier than I expected.

He added color to my hair that is beautiful and compliments my complexion. My hair cut and coloring is the prettiest I’ve had! Plus, Billy is so charming and compassionate. My wife was super excited when she went on a girls trip to CA & her friend recommended her hair stylist Billy Yamaguchi. Only having a couple free days during the trip, he was able to fit us in. Unbelievable! We get to the salon, & he was the most welcoming person with so much Aloha! Easy to talk & relate to. The bonus was meeting his mom and dad. His mom works with him & helped him with dying and even washing hair. It was an honor to be a client. Looking forward to building more memories with them...
