Salon Matisse

I missed an appointment with stylist Lexi recently as my younger brother passed away, and I had to fly to India immediately in an emergency. During that time, my phone did not work internationally. Whenever I call, I can only leave voicemails, and no one answers their phones. They do not have an email or an alternate way to contact. When I came in today and explained this, the salon still insisted and demanded that I pay for the missed appointment, not a cancellation fee, the entire service cost, hiding behind policy. To make it worse, their so-called cancellation policy was never explained or disclosed at any point. Any reasonable business charges a cancellation fee, not full service, and certainly not after a death in the family. This place showed zero empathy and was purely money-minded. Disgusting lack of humanity. Extremely disappointed and frustrated by how heartless and money-minded this place is. I walked out and will not be returning. Owner's response below claims policy was explained. This is incorrect. Policy was never explained at booking, and charging for partial or full service after a death in the family is unreasonable. Most reasonable businesses charge a minimal cancellation fee when notice isn't given and don't charge for the service itself.

I have been going to Salon Matisse for 19 years. Both my now adult kids go as well. We see both Jessica and my son goes to Lexi. He won't go to anyone else he loves how she cuts his hair. Highly recommend. They are up with the latest products and trends. You get expert advice and even tips on all things beauty. I have recd some great makeup tips when i asked and has been great advice. They dont sell makeup its just a great service with knowledgeable experienced beauticians for your hair. I cant say enough great things and i am picky. They are reasonably priced on top of all that you receive. If you are looking to make a change I highly recommend you try Salon Matisse and especially Jessica and Lexi but I know people who go to Katie too.

Katie, my girl. You did an amazing job on my hair. I was nervous to chop it all off but you perfectly took all the photos of what I did and didn't want along with asking questions to make sure I left with the absolute best cut for me. I've been absolutely floating on air since my appointment. I will not only be back but also be telling everyone I know about how amazing this place is. Thank you so much for everything you do 🥰

I've been coming to Salon Matisse for 20 years. It's a well run fantastic salon with many amazing stylists. The younger hairstylists Connor and Lexi are great!

I have been going to Katie since I was 12 and I am now 24. She knows how to work with my curly hair and is super nice! I have moved out of state but always come back to have Katie do my hair anytime I am in town. She is the only one I trust with my hair and she does a beautiful balayage!

Connor is the best!! Every time I see him my hair looks AND feels phenomenal!! He is wonderful at curls🫶🏼

Jessica is amazing!!!! I came in from another salon with overproccessed stripped thinning hair to now gorgeous full and sexy healthy hair. I will never let anyone else, (except the owner of this salon he is great too) ever touch my hair again Such a Comfortable salon. No craziness. Relaxing and calm atmosphere I get so many compliments on the cut and color Love it
